The pasta was delicious, the service was good, the interior is perhaps a little small so the noise is concentrated. It's near the Roman Colosseum.

We chose this place for dinner on our first evening in Rome. We started with Jewish-style artichokes and tomato bruschetta: no complaints. We continued with bucatini alla amatriciana and spaghetti carbonara. The carbonara was my favorite dish; the portions were generous, and even though I was full, I couldn't stop mopping up the carbocrema with the wonderfully crunchy focaccia. The tiramisu was exceptional, and the wine was perfect. The staff was welcoming, but the atmosphere would have been even more pleasant with some background music. Overall, however, the experience was excellent. The bill was fair, considering the quality of the food and wine. P.S. The coffee was also excellent, which is not to be taken for granted.

La Taverna de Quaranta was amazing! We were drawn in right away after seeing so many locals eating there, always the best sign. The service was also very nice and warm, which made the experience even better. The margherita pizza was fresh and delicious, and the rigatoni with oxtail was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. Such a satisfying, authentic meal. Highly recommend! 🍕🍝✨

Posto consigliato da Fabio e Bruno del Colosseo devo ammettere che ci siamo trovati molto bene: abbiamo preso una carbonara da 10 e lode, una matriciana da 10 e i salti in bocca da 10 e lode!! Personale molto gentile e prezzo giusto, consigliatissimo!

Eravamo in giro dalle parti del Colosseo e un forte acquazzone ci ha impedito di proseguire la passeggiata, era ora di pranzo e avendo l’auto parcheggiata proprio 50 metri dal ristorante entriamo. Ci hanno accolto con un sorriso ed è già tanto di questi tempi☺️. Abbiamo mangiato fiori di zucca fritti in pastella molto buoni, 3 primi diversi e un applauso va fatto ai Rigatoni alla Vaccinara, che non si mangiano ovunque e questi erano davvero ottimi con tanto di scarpetta, per secondo ho preso la coda alla vaccinara ed è lì che ho chiesto alla titolare chi l’avesse cucinata perché si scioglieva in bocca, era in esplosione in bocca, la consiglio perché era davvero speciale😍. Per concludere fragole con gelato e una fetta di torta di mele ottima. In conclusione è stata una bellissima esperienza, abbiamo mangiato bene anzi benissimo. I prezzi sono nella norma, siamo a 100 mt dal Colosseo, per un primo molto abbondante siamo intorno ai 14€ ma ne vale la pena. Ci tornerei
