First time in Pratovecchio. They recommended this restaurant to us, which luckily we were able to try, because it was closed for the next two days. Welcoming environment, with low volume background music, comfortable and spaced tables. The food is delicious, with local ingredients mixed with refinement, excellent wines at all prices (we drank an exquisite Chianti Rufina). The owner, who serves at the table, is kind and very competent. We had two first courses, two second courses and two desserts, a bottle of wine, two glasses at the end of the meal, water and two coffees. Everything perfect! The price is more than honest: less than 100 euros. Too bad it's too far from where I live, otherwise I would have become a regular customer.

We had dinner on the first evening during our stay in Pratovecchio, the restaurant is in the center at the end of the arcades. It is very pretty and tastefully furnished even if sober. There are not many seats and therefore it is advisable to book even if the tables are well spaced. The owner who serves is very kind and very helpful and affable. He advised us on the best and contributed not only to the excellent food and drinks to spending a very pleasant evening. The cuisine is well done and the dishes are also well presented. The menu is traditional but expertly reworked. The generous portions. The off-menu items are also interesting. The risotto with cream of peppers and sausage is exquisite, followed by the excellent baked chicken breaded with hazelnuts and finally sweet accompanied by a fabulous local traminer. The wine list is interesting with excellent local proposals. Very honest price around 45 euros per person for a very rich complete menu. Well spent and deserved. To return.

One of the best restaurants in the Casentino valley, excellent food and a relaxing venue. Reservation required, closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, open only for lunch on Sundays. Wide choice of wines.
