We went to LA STORTA Unconventional Pizza for dinner with friends. The place is very beautiful and well-kept, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the idea of "unconventional" pizza is interesting.
We started with a small fried pizza each as an appetizer, which arrived fairly quickly. We then ordered pizzas around 9:00 PM. The menu doesn't have a huge selection (about six pizzas), but it must be said that the quality of the pizza is truly excellent.
The main problem, unfortunately, was the wait: the pizzas didn't arrive until 11:14 PM, over two hours after we ordered them. This was a truly excessive wait, especially considering it was Thursday evening and not a weekend.
During this entire wait, the service was practically nonexistent: we weren't even considered, and nothing was brought to us to help break the wait. A simple focaccia in the center of the table would have been greatly appreciated. In the end, I had to go and ask for one myself to prevent anyone from falling asleep from hunger. Also, when a friend of mine asked for bread, he was told it was out of bread.
In short: very good pizza and a pleasant place, but the wait was really long and the service was inattentive. With better organization in the dining room and kitchen, it could be a truly excellent place.

A very nice place, top-quality food and kind and attentive staff :) The only thing is a bit of a wait, but otherwise everything was good and high-quality!! The menu selection is also very wide and left me intrigued.

La Storta is one of those places that makes you feel right at home. A welcoming atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and above all, cuisine that focuses on quality and simplicity, done well.

INTERESTING PROJECT, DINING ROOM MANAGEMENT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT
I went to dinner last night with three of us, Saturday, second shift at 9:15 PM.
Important premise: I truly appreciate the effort some young people in the area are making to build places like this, with a different concept of dining.
And here it shows: the place is beautiful, well-kept, pleasant to live in, one of those places that customers are happy to "inhabit." In our area, that's not a given, and when someone tries, I have great respect. The pizza is good. In fact, very good!
That said, however, the experience was exactly what you often read in the reviews: almost two hours to eat an appetizer and a pizza.
I completely understand that the place is large, on two floors, and that on a Saturday night it gets crowded. But this can't become a "standard" excuse, because as a customer, it shouldn't be my problem: if they decide to accommodate that number of people, then it needs to be managed with appropriate organization.
Unfortunately, this is precisely the point: inaccurate, poorly trained, and poorly managed service.
No one explains the dishes, the restaurant's philosophy, or actually suggests anything. No strategy has been implemented to address the restaurant's Achilles heel: long wait times when the place is full. And in a pizzeria that markets itself as "unconventional," the storytelling and attentive service should be part of the experience, not a detail.
Furthermore, frequently seeing staff drinking at the counter (reception or bar) while the rest of the restaurant is clearly struggling... doesn't help: it conveys inattention, even if that's not what they're trying to convey.
I repeat: the idea is good, the potential is there, and I'm rooting for those who invest in the local area like this. But it must be understood that what doesn't work truly needs to be improved, and to date, I haven't had the feeling that this is happening. So if customers tell you they had a terrible experience and you, as a manager, acknowledge this, you should offer them the three glasses of Amaro right away, not the next time they come. This is the foundation, I'd even say, of good manners.
I hope this review is read as a constructive stimulus: because all it takes is working on time management, training, and communication in the dining room to transform everything.

The pizzas are great, service was good, no complaints. Could be a little better presented internally, better seats better decor but otherwise a good choice for pizza

A very nice and welcoming place, recently opened. The pizzas (shallow selection, which is a shame) are excellent, with a very light dough and quality ingredients. The sliced pizzas are also excellent, and worth trying as starters. Unfortunately, the wait times are very long; customers often get up and ask to try something at the counter, and the wait times are longer for those who remain seated at a table. The organization needs some work. I'll be back soon to check. Prices are slightly higher than those in the area.
