This place deserves a positive rating, for the welcoming informal environment, good music, well-prepared dishes and satisfying portions. This evening we had the Sorrento gnocchi served in the typical boiling terrine, served according to the norm, sliced ​​parmesan and rocket and typical Calabrian sausage, baked potatoes. Fast service. Honest prices. Absolutely to return!

Le pagnottelle ai cereali, farcite, per me erano già un top, ma recentemente ho gustato il risotto a I funghi porcini ed era da 7+, spaghetti alle vongole, che non sembravano congelate ed erano in buona quantità 7½, e mi hanno sorpreso per la qualità e la freschezza l'antipastoANTICO SAPORE e le crocchette ripiene👍

Per trascorrere un sabato sera diverso, ho voluto far conoscere a Letizia un locale storico ubicato a Villa San Giovanni, che è stato teatro di spensierate serate della mia gioventù: La Sosta. Questo locale, in virtù della sua breve distanza dal Porto (soltanto 5 minuti a piedi) consente ai clienti provenienti dalla Sicilia di lasciare l'automobile a Messina e di utilizzare i molto frequenti collegamenti via traghetto per raggiungere comodamente ed economicamente Villa San Giovanni. Nonostante un disguido sulla prenotazione, ci è stato consentito di bere un paio di birre accomodandoci ad un tavolo provvisorio, nell'attesa che si liberasse quello a noi assegnati. Abbiamo iniziato la cena con un fritto misto e delle crocchette ripiene di mozzarella affumicata. Sia io, che Letizia, abbiamo proseguito con uno strepitoso panino 'Affumicato': hamburger di chianina da 200g, scamorza affumicata, funghi, speck, patate caserecce, salsa BBQ. Abbiamo anche concluso in bellezza, con una crépe alla Nutella e una Coppa Sosta, entrambe molto buone. Io ho bevuto due ottime Gordon Scotch, birre belga rosse alla spina. Letizia ha provato due birre bionde alla spina diverse: una Nastro Azzurro (classica italiana) e una Gordon Gold, gustosa belga molto alcolica. La cortesia del personale, la qualità di cibo e bevande e la particolarità dell'arredamento, uniti ai ricordi che mi hanno legato a La Sosta, ci hanno regalato una bellissima serata. Locale raccomandatissimo, specialmente nelle serate con musica dal vivo! Notevolissimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.
