La Sora Maria- La Grattachecca In Roma

My dad told me about this place for years until we went to Rome and met him. Fantastic.

A historic kiosk in the Prati neighborhood. I've known it since I was a child, and Sora Maria was there. The grattachecca is always excellent and has endless flavors.

Historic in Rome for those who like "GRATTACHECCA"...or granita...roadside but very busy...if you like the product definitely worth trying...possibility of different combinations...with pieces of cedar, coconut, berries...on the weekend after 9:30 pm you may find a bit of a queue...but in my opinion it's worth it

Sora Maria has been around forever, passing down the love, care, and passion for this business from generation to generation. Open only in the summer, it's known throughout Rome and has long been a neighborhood institution. Times change, and it's clearly been reinvented without betraying tradition. So, alongside the classics, there are new flavors and the latest combinations. The clientele is predominantly young, but also includes families and older people. Strictly outdoors, clean, high-quality, fast, reasonably priced, and a wide variety of dishes. Excellent, for one, many lifetimes.

A typical place, frequented by Romans. Very, very good, catering for all tastes, even the strangest ones. Clean, and quick service.

The best grattachecca in Rome! Various flavors with fruit inside. Be prepared for a long line, especially in the evening! Also recommended for gluten-free options.

Everything is nice but paying €18 for 3 grattachecche seems excessive to me.

Un classico dell'estate romana. Sempre ottima e rinfrescante, però sembra che il ghiaccio si sciolga troppo presto nel bicchiere!!!
