I learned about Piero La Sogliola restaurant through some colleagues. They'd raved about chef Piero's dishes, and I have to say they were right. The food is good, tasty, and fresh. They served a variety of appetizers and a few first courses; I couldn't finish them due to the quantity. The local wine was also excellent. The staff was kind and attentive, very knowledgeable. I left satisfied. I recommend trying it.

A storm of Sicilian flavors!
A group of friends and I had been wanting to experience this renowned location since last summer, so as soon as I returned to my beloved Sicily for a few days, we organized this trip from Agrigento!
Reservations are required and highly recommended on weekdays (long waits can be expected during the week or on Sundays).
We tried the famous and much-hyped XXL Menu for just €35 each, featuring a wide variety of appetizers and two delicious and generous first courses (especially the busiate pasta with lobster and chopped pistachios), accompanied by good bread and house white wine, with the necessary and much-appreciated finishing touch of lemon sorbet, Sicilian bitters, and coffee.
A simply stellar, crazy, and unparalleled quality/quantity/price ratio!
It's no coincidence that people travel from far away to Seccagrande (Ribera) specifically to experience these sublime culinary moments, as for seafood lovers, this restaurant is a must-try, time and time again!
The owner is very affable, friendly, approachable, and truly skilled at managing this restaurant.
What more can I say to describe this hidden gem?

XXL set menu for €35. The appetizers are small portions, about half the advertised size, and the quality is average. As for the first courses, the risotto didn't seem seafood-based; the butter flavor was too strong. They also used two types of rice. The lobster trofie was inedible; there were ten of us at the table, and we all left it entirely on our plates. Overall, the quality/quantity/price ratio was very poor.

Lured in by the advertising and by friends who had already been there. The location looks like a fairly basic inn. The exterior leaves a lot to be desired (if I had to choose from there, I wouldn't have even stopped). The feast was decent, with plenty of appetizers (certainly not the best considering the price), the mussels were awful, the risotto was also decent, but it's a real shame about the lobster busiate, which really disappointed me. I wanted to try it, and I did, but I certainly won't be returning.

Friends invited us to try this restaurant, and we booked for 10 pm. Once we arrived, we found a bit of a mix-up and found ourselves waiting about 10 minutes. Afterwards, we sat down and, of course, tried the XXL Menu (because it's all or none, given the rules).
The staff were kind and attentive, and the owner was always among the diners to greet them and take photos and videos.
A menu without a main course seems strange, but it's not necessary...we left most of the first courses because we were already full from the appetizers. The portions were "oversized" and excellent value.
I recommend 💯!
