Anyone who wants to try a "Signor Gelato" must stop here and enjoy a moment of pure pleasure. Choosing from such a vast array of flavors (all delicious) can be daunting, so consider this a great incentive to return time and time again, until you've tried them all! Of course, you have to be aware that you won't be able to do without it. Needless to say, I consider it one of the best gelato shops I've ever tried. The quality is exceptional, and the flavors are distinctly distinctive, yet never disgusting, unlike those "gelatos" that are overly sugary to cover up the lack of flavor. La Scimmietta is guaranteed to leave you satisfied; in fact, you'll always want more.

Let me start by saying that I'm a citizen of Afragola and that La Scimetta has been an institution for me since I was little, but I feel compelled to give it 4 stars with a heavy heart because the quality/quantity has significantly declined in recent years. I absolutely don't want to say that the ice cream is awful or anything else, since that would be heresy, but while traveling, both in Italy and abroad, I've noticed that many other ice creams are much easier to digest and, more importantly, don't make you as thirsty as the one I eat at La Scimetta. Regarding quantity, I find it ridiculous to pay €3 for a cone with a paltry amount of ice cream that doesn't even fill half a cone. I prefer to get a cup that allows me to enjoy what I should actually be eating: ice cream. But ultimately, you know, when places like this become franchises, these are the risks you run.

Dal Ceppone Pizzeria Bar

24/01/2026: In my opinion Ceppone makes the best pizza on the Sorrento Coast. Every time I go to try his pizza I am amazed by its flavour.... the waitresses are very good and friendly.
17/01/2026: A Neapolitan pizza enthusiast, my family and I went to the Dal Ceppone pizzeria on the recommendation of friends. Our goal was to try the pizza and see if it was really as good as we'd been told. To sample a variety of pizzas, we picked up a measuring tape divided into four flavors: Margherita, Capricciosa, and Ortolana (with vegetables), and with pesto and burrata. I must say the pizza is truly high quality: thin crust, well-cooked, thin but not too thin, light and easy to digest. Richly topped. Personally, I have another criterion for ensuring the quality of a Neapolitan pizza: eating it the next day. Since there were some slices left over from the measuring tape, we did so, and I wholeheartedly agree with the very positive assessment. I'll conclude by highlighting the courtesy of the service and, what's no bad thing, the affordability. In short, if you want to eat a great pizza, Vico Equense-style, I definitely recommend Dal Ceppone.
