A small, traditional restaurant with a family atmosphere, excellent food, and very friendly staff. Prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous rather than medium (certainly not small). The raviozzoccheri, ravioli made with pizzoccheri pasta and filled with pizzoccheri sauce, are a must-try. I was skeptical, but I was proven wrong—it's delicious.

La Scagna, a restaurant serving typical Bergamo cuisine, traditional flavors but with a youthful spirit, from the kitchen to the service.

We were in Bergamo for a layover and took the opportunity to explore the city. The restaurant selection was excellent. The waiters were excellent and friendly, and the food was genuine and authentic. We had a great time!

Very good little restaurant... Excellent value too €15 euro for two course lunch, wine and a coffee to finish. I can see why it was hard to get a table and we visited mid week for lunch.

If you don't have much time, they offer a lunch menu for 15€: first course, main course, 250ml of wine, 500ml of water and coffee.
All the food is local and excellent, the wine is very drinkable.
Proof that in 15 minutes and 15€ you can eat nicely.

Great food and service! The place was full of locals and the staff let us have the next free table and it was worth the wait. We had delicious risotto and polenta and taste local wine. Highly recommend!
