La Salumeria fratelli Zappala' In Catania

It was our first time and we loved it. The staff were very kind and welcoming. The owner told us their story, passed down from grandfather to father and now sons. We ate two platters, and had a bit of a wait for the second one. Two excellent carbonaras. The dishes were beautifully presented.

A very atmospheric little restaurant near the market. The service is exceptionally friendly and the food is delicious. I recommend the panini with potatoes and caramelized onions, among other things—it might not sound like much, but it's delicious.

Must be the best cappuccino I have ever had and I am fussy! Sadly I was not hungry for food, because it looked incredible. Such a lovely stop before or after you explore the market. Loved it.

A historic shop passed down from generation to generation. I know the Zappalà brothers well. Over the years, through many sacrifices, they have built a wonderful business, the fruit of the teachings their parents were able to pass on to them. They have the ability to transform every single product into pure poetry. Their passion is the combination of culture and tradition, and their dedication to improving day after day for exponential growth in the area... They deserve so much. Congratulations!!!!! An amazing place to eat, outstanding service

I stumbled upon this place by chance, searching for a good Italian breakfast, and I succeeded. During my entire stay in Catania (a week), I ate delicious sandwiches there every day (the selection is huge, and every sandwich was delicious). Delicious coffee and a huge selection of beers. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming you with a smile, chatting, and advising on what to order, making you want to come in. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Excellent value for money. A welcoming, clean, and tidy place. Extremely kind and helpful staff. They recommended this place to us, where we stopped to buy some local cheeses and cured meats. The place was so inviting that we decided to stop for a sandwich too. Excellent decision. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

We ate lunch there the day we arrived. Not being familiar with the place, we learned that this restaurant has been an institution for three generations. We had a great time, the server was excellent and very friendly. We ate very well for a reasonable price. A little out of the way, but definitely worth the trip.
