In Vercelli for a medical visit, at lunchtime I felt like eating something in the beautiful historic center, but I had no idea where to go. I headed towards Piazza Cavour, and thanks to Maps I found this little place just off the square, but sooo cute. There were two of us. They sat us in a room on the opposite side of the street from the entrance, so we ate in complete tranquility, without unwanted music or confusion. I love silence while I eat. The place is nicely decorated, without putting on too much airs, which I appreciated. Nice but honest, let's say. The service was kind and professional. The dishes were very good and well presented. The roast beef for example melted in the mouth, and was accompanied by an anchovy sauce that enhanced the flavor without overpowering it. In short, overall I found exactly what I was looking for, I was satisfied and I will definitely return. Price appropriate for what was offered.

Ho già a suo tempo recensito questo locale unico nel suo genere, con prodotti di livello eccezionale che difficilmente si reperiscono e si trovano in altri locali, con personale competente e preparatissimo sia a livello gastronomico che per quanto concerne i vini. Non voglio quindi ripetermi ulteriormente in quanto alla perfezione nulla si può aggiungere....ma desidero fare seguito alla recensione sottostante.......e ribadire e sottolineare che quì SIAMO A VERCELLI, CAPITALE EUROPEA DA SEMPRE DEL RISO.....SI CUCINA E SI MANGIA LA PANISSA.....E NON QUEL PIATTO CHE DANNO OLTRE SESIA (chiamato paniscia che è tutta un'altra cosa).....QUINDI CORTESEMENTE UN PO' MENO IGNORANZA E UN PO' PIU' DI RISPETTO PER LA NOSTRA CULTURA E LE NOSTRE TRADIZIONI.....e prima di scrivere castronerie su tripadvisor (detto con ovvio rispetto, ci mancherebbe) sempre meglio capire e informarsi......grazie!!!!!! p.s. per inciso, tra l'altro, la PANISSA di chef Rito è la migliore in assoluto, per ampio distacco, di quelle che si trovano nei ristoranti della nostra zona!!!!!!!!!!!!
