Sunday 9 March 2025. 6 Novara residents. We had lunch and drank at the only table in the small and particular shop, the room across the street was full, appreciating the quality of the products, the particularity and warmth of the environment and the frank and attentive management. Furthermore, the restaurant is right in the center between the small Piazza Dei Pesci and the "Anfiteatresque" Piazza Cavour, where we first had an aperitif in the pleasant Lounge Bar Portico 4, and then we concluded with desserts in the historic and evocative Pasticceria Bar Taverna e Tarnuzzer.
Lunch details in Salsensoria:
(Entrée) 6 Meatballs with dip.
2 bottles of Ruchè red wine.
3 bottles of water.
3 mixed starters of cheeses and cured meats.
6 Plin with roast sauce.
1 old-fashioned veal with tuna sauce.
1 Fassona serve with bagna cauda.
1 purple artichokes.
1 Lecce pasticciotto.
6 Coffee.
Total €214.

Near the historic center of Vercelli, right where the ZTL does not yet arrive, but the pedestrian area is particularly and joyfully crowded until late at night, this exquisite little place makes its presentation: a mix between
-the shop,
from selected, refined and often rare products, and a well-kept,
- old-time tavern,
where conviviality and good food meet until these small walls become a real market of flavors and aromas, where everything is expertly balanced and proportioned.
A beautiful painting already autonomous in itself,
except that it is also enriched by the professionalism and kindness of the managers who, with a very close-knit family bond, carry on the management of the Salndosiria with great success.
I address a great personal compliment to Laura and Rito who mainly take care of the kitchen, and to Gisella and Eli, for their accurate service towards customers and towards the furry friends who occasionally hang out in the restaurant.

Incredible place, atmosphere of times gone by and accurate and refined wine and food selection. That place you don't expect, small and welcoming, refined, personal, intimate, with excellence. The added value is the waiter, calm, kind, empathetic and prepared.
Nice people, nice place, great food, great wine.

I define this place as a sort of widespread restaurant, the main area with the cash desk has a table for around 8 people, while the second room, on the other side of the narrow alley in full Piedmontese spirit of Vercelli, has room for around 20 seats.
The place echoes the wineries of other times, a setting for rural laborers in the post-war period which is now tidy and clean.
Dishes with real flavors and in my consumption a traditional "Bagna cauda" menu; an important choice of wines surrounds the diners, possibility of purchasing bottles of wine also to take away.
I think their main business is aperitifs for employees after the office day.

Bagna cauda sontuosa e molto abbondante. Personale disponibile nonostante il locale fosse pieno. Prezzo ragionevole

Cibo buono, godurioso e locale.
Simpatica e originale la location.
Prezzo onesto.
Detto questo il servizio potrebbe migliorare ed essere un pochino più attento e presente verso i clienti.
Comunque ci fermeremo ancora volentieri se nella zona.
