We went there early september without reservation. The tables outside were reserved or taken but we were glad we took the table inside because it got a little cold later in the evening. We ate pizza aaand it was really good. Staff was friendly and it seems like its a lovely family business.

The best tuna pizza on the island, although the prices are rather high. The main problem was the wait. Even though we were greeted and told it would take 10-15 minutes for a table inside or outside to become available, we were completely ignored afterward. The restaurant was almost completely empty inside (which we unfortunately didn't notice until later), and only after we approached several waiters did they take care of us. The unnecessary wait before we could even order: 40 minutes!!! It's ridiculous.

Risotto a little too salty, vegetarian pizza €14 a little excessive for what I ate, very few vegetables, almost none and acidic tomato.

They kindly let us have lunch even when the kitchen closed at 3 PM. The food was truly excellent: marinated anchovies with Caprese sauce and peppered mussels. To top it all off, a fantastic spaghetti with clams. We thank you and will definitely be back. Recommended by Italians in the know! The view is breathtaking!

30/08/2025: An osteria that aims to combine Maremma cuisine with Argentario seafood. It doesn't succeed in either. The charcuterie board is unremarkable; good but not refined. The sliced ​​steak was tough and flavorless, despite being rare. The grilled calamari...to be forgotten; it's obviously a frozen product served as if it were fresh. A real shame, because the service was good and all the ingredients for a good osteria were there...
24/08/2025: We stopped for lunch during a transfer and were very satisfied! A delightful atmosphere that creates peace and relaxation, and the staff were very kind, professional, and attentive. The food was delicious, made and served with love. Congratulations! A magical place!

29/07/2025: Spectacular! I've never stayed at the hotel, but I've eaten at the restaurant several times. The dishes are simple and truly delicious, not to mention the apple, walnut, and raisin tart, which is a must-try. Special mention goes to the chicken liver crostini and the truffle gnocchi. The owners are incredibly kind.
19/07/2025: Hotel Il Fungo is a fantastic, family-run place. The restaurant serves excellent food, featuring simple, authentic dishes using excellent ingredients and homemade products. The rooms are spacious and equipped with every comfort. The hotel also boasts a spa, perfect for relaxing, complete with a hot tub, Turkish bath, sauna, and sensory shower. The hotel's location is extremely convenient, on Mount Amiata, between the Val d'Orcia and iconic Tuscan towns like Pienza, Montepulciano, and Montalcino. All this at absolutely reasonable prices. What more could you ask for?
