What can I say...we had a great time. The food was excellent, generous portions, and excellent service. The location is very picturesque.

The location is truly beautiful; the outdoor terrace where I dined (the one that surrounds the building) practically overlooks the sea; you can hear the waves crashing on the shore and nothing else. The menu offers typical seafood dishes with some interesting variations on traditional Ligurian meat dishes, some with a modern twist. I enjoyed everything I tried, especially the tagliolini with baby cuttlefish, their ink, capers, and thyme, which I found truly delicious! PS I first discovered La Ruggia over ten years ago. Initially, perhaps for just one summer season, I had a great time: good food, fair prices... The following times, it was an inexorable decline, so after two or three more attempts, I/we decided not to frequent the restaurant anymore. I returned after years last October, rediscovering all the good things I had found ten years ago. Let's hope the trend continues...

The place has been known for years and is always appreciated. The view is obviously beautiful, but knowing the alternatives in the Finale area well, and speaking of cocktails: very few, served in fruit juice glasses...at that price it's not satisfying, the same goes for the accompanying platter, which was very small and very simple. Finally, for bread, butter, and anchovies, we found some toasted Pan carrè....I'm sorry, apart from the wonderful view, the quality is declining!

Well what can I say about this place..... wonderful we had dinner in a fabulous place we had a great time the food kindness and professionalism are the masters... a special thanks to Kevin for having recommended us an excellent wine but also to all the guys always ultra kind polite and professional

I had the pleasure of having lunch and dinner at this restaurant and enjoying their beach for a day. It was a great experience! Excellent food and super friendly staff.

We've been spending summer holidays in Liguria for years, especially in Varigotti, and every year we choose this restaurant for its splendid view and excellent food. Unfortunately, we've noticed that the service leaves much to be desired, especially from some of the staff: specifically, a blonde waitress with wavy/curly hair displayed an unprofessional attitude. We fully understand that seasonal work, with its heat and intense schedule, can be tiring, but courtesy towards customers should never be lacking, especially when dealing with large bills. Conversely, we'd like to applaud the younger staff. In particular, we'd like to mention the young woman who was working the cash register this week (the only female in that role): endowed with excellent manners, she was the only one who made us feel truly welcomed and pampered. We'll definitely return for the location and the cuisine, hoping for an overall improvement in customer service from the entire dining room staff.
