What can I say, every city has its iconic landmarks, those that tell its story. In Varese, La Romana is just this: an ice cream shop that has managed to become part of the city's identity. The ice cream conquers at the first taste, both in the creamy and fruit flavours. It's just a shame there isn't a real space to sit and enjoy it calmly... but perhaps this is also part of the Varesinità: standing under the portico, chatting with the cone in your hand.

First ice cream of the season: pistachio, lady's kiss and zabaglione. Super quality. It's a shame that the prices are quite high, three flavors 4 euros, two flavors 3.5 euros.

Really wide choice of flavours. Those proven good. Generous portions. Friendly staff. Seats equipped with waste bin (important if you are with children :-))

The goodness of your ice cream is indisputable but alas I will stop coming. I can't stand when people make fun of me. The cone is increasingly more expensive and smaller and therefore the quantities are smaller and smaller. It's not worth it anymore. Poor quality/price ratio.

Delicious. Waffle & ice cream very good. Waffle filled with chocolate. Strawberry was awesome. Chocolate and yogurt perfect. We'll be back

Delicious ice cream, creamy and you can really taste the flavor. My favorites grandma's crunchy and old-fashioned eggnog 😍😍 Crêpes with cocoa and white chocolate dough, it reminds me a lot of the flavor of pan di stelle, the crêpes are really good too 😍 Always kind, helpful and smiling girls.

Sono ritornata in questa gelateria e sono rimasta soddisfatta. Il gelato è davvero buono. Materie prime ottime. ...l'unica cosa di stonato che posso permettermi di dire è che ahimè, la quantità di gelato sul cono è diminuita.....
