La Quintessa In Castel gandolfo

Excellent lunch experience. The restaurant is deliberately edgy and quirky in its decor. The menu offers a wide selection. We ate well, with generous and carefully prepared portions. The price was reasonable for the location. The free parking next to the restaurant is excellent.

I had high expectations for this restaurant, but unfortunately the splendid view wasn't lived up to the quality of the food and service. I've been here twice, once in August and once today. I made reservations both times, which I recommend, as Sundays are very crowded. The appetizers arrived after 25 minutes. As for the first courses, they made up for the time lost on the appetizer, and I must say they were sublime. We had a scampi cream risotto and spaghetti with lobster and cherry tomatoes. The risotto cream was perfectly flavorful, the spaghetti perfectly cooked, a mix of unforgettable flavors; these are definitely worth coming here for. But for the price we paid, it's not worth it, given that: the focaccia arrived without seasoning, when the menu said it would be with rosemary; furthermore, the baby octopus we ordered both times had green plastic and, above all, a lot of sand on it; they were definitely not worth the price on the menu; The same thing happened with the shrimp with kataifi pasta; the intestines were present in all four of them. Even those in the risotto still had their intestines. If you want a recommendation for this place, I can only say that it's worth it for the first courses and the vast wine selection alone. For the service, the location, and the rest of the dishes, it's not worth going. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try the meat or desserts, which is a real shame, but I can't imagine returning after today, even reluctantly.

A restaurant with elegant and welcoming furnishings, ambient lighting, friendly staff, and equally elegant and good food. Prices are medium to high.

Last night we had a company dinner at La Quintessa; we couldn't have chosen a better place. As soon as we were seated, they asked us what menu we wanted to choose, and 15 minutes later we were served appetizers. Perfect timing. Each course arrived just the right amount of time apart. The food was amazing, fresh daily, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. I couldn't find a single flaw. Thanks in part to the charming Christmas decorations that beautifully adorned the entire room, I rated this dinner as the best company Christmas dinner. Congratulations!!!

La Quintana is now a central point for lakeside dining. The pizzas are fantastic, but the scampi risotto is truly exceptional! The place is super cute. It could use a little updating, but overall, it's a great place to spend an evening.

I visited this restaurant for a baptism. It's a unique restaurant with a lot of attention to detail. Excellent food and very attentive staff. Plenty of parking and very close to the lake, even though I stayed inside due to the weather. I didn't have any problems. I recommend it to anyone looking for something special. I'll definitely be back.
