In the historic center of Perugia, La Prosciutteria is an unmissable stop for those who love authentic flavors and a convivial atmosphere. The restaurant, located between Corso Vannucci and Piazza Matteotti, immediately wins you over with its rustic charm: hanging hams, wooden furnishings and a cellar with brick vaults that tell the story of the place

In this prosciutto shop located in the center of Perugia you can immediately breathe a welcoming atmosphere, where the quality and passion for the products are noticeable in every detail.
The cured meats offered are many and all very good, served on generous platters, not to mention the schiacciate that can be created on the spot with the various choices or take the predefined ones, excellent cheeses, often accompanied by honey or artisanal jams. The selection of wines is curated and designed to best enhance the flavors, with both local and national proposals.
The service is a real strong point: the staff is kind, prepared and always ready to explain the dishes and to advise based on the customer's tastes. Great attention is also paid to those with special requests or intolerances.

They immediately found a place for 8 people (on a Saturday evening). Where we sat were slightly uncomfortable as they were stools, but still very consistent with the furnishings. Slightly dry flatbreads but with various interesting and delicious fillings. Very inviting platters. Friendly staff.

Excellent place to taste typical local cured meats and cheeses. The staff are very friendly and the service really quick: even though it was May 1st and the place was full, they were quick, attentive and very helpful. The prices are in line with the quality and quantity offered, even if the cutting boards are perhaps slightly above average. In any case, very positive experience. Advised!

Compared to how this little chain markets themselves, it was a dissatisfactory experience. It's quite remarkable how it is possible to mess up taste when you mainly serve ham and cheese that doesn't even have to be cooked. But somehow they managed to make porchetta, pecorino and salumi taste... boring?
The room is small, loud and crowded, very stressful. There are outside places around the corner that are more relaxed.
What saved the day was the lovely young waitress who worked hard to give us a great experience.
We left angry about ourselves that we had let us seduce from the opportunity to sit to go there and not just have a porchetta sandwich at the traditional place just around the corner.

Seconda volta e una conferma. Bisogna avere un po' di pazienza perché il locale non prende prenotazioni ma si viene messi in lista se si vuole un tavolo, altrimenti si può fare il take away.
I tavoli all'interno sono davvero caratteristici.
