La Pollarola In Roma

We stopped here for wine and dessert one evening in early August and had the best tiramisu I have ever had in my life. Don't miss it!

The waiter with the glasses was super nice! The service was heartfelt. The food was delicious, from appetizer to dessert. The lovely waiter recommended the wine, and it was a hit! We visit here every time we're in Rome.

We came here based on the recommendation from our hotel looking for more local and less touristy food. So glad we did! The food was outstanding and the wait staff was incredibly helpful. We asked them to recommend the best dishes and they didn’t let us down. We started with the house made beef carpaccio (which is the best I have ever had) and 3 meatballs. The pasta was perfectly al dente. We finished with the dish if the day, which was a swordfish. It was moist (I never eat swordfish since it is so dry) and the olive, tomato, caper sauce on it was outstanding. I have seen other reviews complain about the service, but that wasn’t the case with our visit. Both of our waiters were overly attentive. (I am used to European service and don’t expect a lot of “is everything ok”, in fact I appreciate it in Europe.). Make sure to try the Vermentino from Sardinia. It was perfectly dry and crisp

Welcoming place. Friendly staff and fast service. Excellent pasta, although everyone said it was a little al dente.

Amazing place. Pity we found it on our last night here. Everything was delectable, one of our dishes wasn’t to our liking and our server allowed us to get something we liked which was so appreciated. Excellent restaurant, especially for the very fresh and well cooked fish. The service is excellent and the location is very central, just a stone's throw from Campo de' Fiori and Piazza Navona.

The food is very salty. We ordered two pasta, one fish and a salad and all were too salty. Italian restaurant food tends to be salty, but this place is on another level. We didn't finish the food dye to the saltiness and went straight to nearby Carrefour to buy water. The service was ok, nothing special. The waiter straight asked for a tip, which I felt was not appropriate. Tips should be earned, not asked. Atmosphere and location is great. Prices are fair and very reasonable. We would not go back here.

Nos han recomendado la Pollarola. Muy buena comida. Yo primi eran excelentes y muy elegantes postre de fresa del bosque. Pero la noche en el Pollaro fue desafortunadamente también una experiencia con un servicio deficiente y personal grosero.
