I'd gladly give the ambiance more than 5 stars – fantastic outdoor dining, superbly tasteful interior design. Great details. The only minor drawback to the outdoor dining: The lido you overlook isn't the prettiest in Lignano. But that's not the restaurant's fault... The food was delicious, not run-of-the-mill, but not overly fancy either. Even our two kindergarten children found something to eat... The service was friendly, and our stumbling Italian wasn't needed because German was spoken. And you can't complain about the price – not cheap, but literally value for money. Absolutely recommended.

Undoubtedly a beautiful location. The service could be much improved. A long wait for the ordered wine to finally arrive; I had to ask for it several times. The bread was stale; I'd almost say I've never eaten harder bread. I was sent inside to pay the bill. For the first time in Lignano in many years, there was no grappa or something similar on the house – quite surprising... I can't say anything negative about the quality of the food; it was good, but not outstanding either. Considering the high price range, the overall result was rather disappointing.

The best crema catalana I've ever had! The tuna tataki and octopus were also incredible. Great service, a great atmosphere right on the beach, relaxing music—we went back several nights in a row because we loved it so much. Definitely worth a visit! 🙏🏻

An absolute gem right on the beach! The location alone is stunning, but what really impressed us was the beautiful design of the place. Every detail is perfectly arranged: stylish décor, cozy cushions, and citronella to keep the mosquitoes away. Elegant plates and linen napkins add a refined touch and even make the €5 cover charge feel completely justified. The food is simply outstanding. It’s truly fine dining by the sea, yet still family-friendly. Our kids had Wiener Schnitzel with fries — honestly, the best I’ve ever tasted. The Angus burger was also unforgettable, easily one of the best I’ve had in years. The tuna tataki was divine, and the lobster risotto was pure perfection. Even the Hugo cocktail was something special not just served. The service deserves a big compliment: fast, attentive, and so friendly. You can immediately see the chef is in charge, keeping an eye on everything and making sure it all runs smoothly. The staff speaks both German and English and provides excellent recommendations. We are a family with two kids, and we couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. Next year, if we’re back in the area, this place will definitely be a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Professionalism, kindness, and friendliness reign supreme at Playa Beach. Excellent food, fast service, a clean, well-designed environment, and a tasting menu on this spectacular seafront. Prices are average for the season... It's worth a long stop.

Seconda volta in questo ristorante sul mare di Maccarese e il giudizio rimane lo stesso. Location carina, antipasti e fritto di pesce buoni ma il lato dolente sono i primi. Sia gli spaghetti con i lupini che il medaglione con ragù di pesce completamente insulsi. Veramente un peccato.

La struttura come del resto, parecchi stabilimenti a Maccarese, andrebbe quasi completamente ristrutturata, perchè risente degli anni; e parlo specialmente dei bagni. Cibo assolutamente bocciato, passabili le tartare e i fritti, ma quando siamo passati a degli spaghetti con le telline, piatto assolutamente terrificante: pasta scotta e telline numerosissime ma insapori; dolci nella media. Personale superlativo, carta dei vini molto buona e conto non basso. Non ci tornerei.
