EXCELLENT DINNER I RECOMMEND THE PLACE

No tourist trap! We were only there for an aperitif. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed our drinks and free snacks! Clean, comfortable toilets👍

We were 5 people in July, 4 adults and a little girl, we were looking for a restaurant to have dinner. We called and they immediately gave us the availability. Right in the heart of Verona, behind Piazza delle Erbe and overlooking Piazza dei Signori. Very clean and welcoming place, very trained staff available for anything. Excellent dishes: the Amarone risotto with cheese ice cream is highly recommended and also another type of risotto that was recommended to us by the lady who served us, with a typical local garlic, I can say without a doubt that it is the best thing I have tried. Then we had the sea bass for 4 people, truly excellent. We paid 238 euros including wine and water.

Splendid restaurant in the historic center of Verona, an exceptional culinary experience, you spend a little but class is not water. Excellent quality/price ratio as it has nothing to envy of starred restaurants.

Typically a restaurant for tourists. New cuisine is an excuse poor quality food - sword fish tasteless whether half cooked or recooked. Home made tiramisu was quite uneatable. Manager offered a discount that hardly makes up for such a bad experience.

Very disappointed. Returning for our 10th wedding anniversary after hosting our wedding reception here - not that this made any difference except to turn some lights on to take photos. My husband had taken a long time to find this restaurant again (I had a surprise wedding), and the restaurant venue had been organised by our wedding coordinator. We chose to eat inside because of our previous memories. The service was not great and certainly not fast. ( I also didn't appreciate stale smoke breath from what appeared to be a senior member of staff.) The restaurant definitely wasn't very accommodating for allergies. I was served the wrong food and ended up eating once everyone else was finished. Because of the fuss regarding allergies I hadn't realised that sides needed to be ordered separately, and waitor didn't point this out, so I ended up with 2 small lamb chops after my leaves with flowers starter. It all took so long and not in a pleasant, food experience, wonderful ambience kind of way. A basket of cold bread rolls sat on the table with some breadsticks, but no oil and vinegar and no side plates. Everyone else's food was ok but not exceptional. As I said, the whole experience left us very disappointed but we did manage to get show photos and show it to our children as they were too young to remember being there for the wedding.

If you visit Verona and want to eat in a quiet place with an elegant and classic atmosphere then this is the perfect place! It's not as touristy as the other restaurants so you can live the real and authentic Veronese experience! The food is excellent and refined! The exquisite wines and a lot of variety since they have their personal cellar in the underground ❤️🍷 I recommend it if you want to take that special person after visiting Julieta's house! And you can end the night with a good cocktail at Archivio which is a few steps from café Dante 😍

Very nice restaurant, next to the statue of Dante. Nice service and a very good kitchen, where we enjoyed eating after a day in Verona. Recommended is the “GUANCIA DI MANZOBRASATA” (Beef cheek braised in Amarone wine served with mashed Guà red potatoes).
