The food is good, shame about the offer of the day, namely the grissinopoli, which is a breaded cutlet in breadsticks that tasted of little and was too fatty... friendly staff and nice place

Trip to Turin...we stopped for lunch. The atmosphere was very welcoming and warm, the menu varied, and the dishes were delicious and authentic. The service was attentive and precise.
I recommend everyone stop by for lunch or dinner.

Fabulous food and service. They squeezed me in on a busy weekend evening despite being fully booked. The menu was great to the point it was difficult to choose. Service was really friendly and especially forgiving of my lack of Italian. When I left tons of people were waiting outside for a table which is a great sign.

Nice place, perhaps a little dated in decor, but it retains its dignified charm. The food was good and easy to digest (which isn't a given). The chef and I certainly don't see eye to eye on veal with tuna sauce, but it was certainly enjoyable and beautifully plated.
Otherwise, the wine list is short but good. Perhaps it could be improved on the desserts; the whipped cream on the sake is a real discordant choice, in my opinion.
I'll conclude by mentioning the service: attentive, meticulous, fast, and above all, polite.

I used to go there during my college days (the 2000s), and it was an institution thanks to Alfredo's jovial, charmingly gruff personality and the fabulous sandwiches! Now that it's more of a restaurant, I'm happy to return, where I discover it's still family-run. The food is homemade, Piedmontese-style, and I recommend the pepperoni, gnocchi, and bunet. Long live Alfredo!
