25/11/2025: I recently visited this seafood restaurant in Turin, which masterfully celebrates Apulian cuisine, and I must say it was a truly excellent experience. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by an elegant yet warm atmosphere, conveying the typical Apulian hospitality, despite being in the heart of Piedmont.
One of the aspects that struck me most was the show cooking: the staff prepared several dishes in front of the guests, transforming the kitchen into a veritable stage. Watching the fresh fish, carefully prepared, being heated, cut, pan-fried, and served with care and attention to detail is a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. This dynamism adds a touch of theatricality to the experience, making each dish not only delicious but also captivating to watch.
Speaking of flavors, the seafood dishes are authentic and well-balanced: delicate raw appetizers, first courses like pasta with sea urchins, pasta with clams, or spaghetti with seafood, and second courses of grilled or baked fish. Obviously, you can't expect the same flavor as eating fish at a seaside restaurant, but since you're in Turin, I'd say the result is more than excellent. Each dish reflects the flavor of the catch and the culinary tradition of Salento: the fish is a bit muted, but it's noticeable enough, the ingredients are authentic, and the use of extra virgin olive oil, fresh tomatoes, and Mediterranean herbs really makes a difference.
The service is attentive and extremely courteous: the chefs and waiters passionately explain the recipes, describing the composition of the ingredients on the plate and how they're cooked, and are happy to answer questions. This contributes to a complete gastronomic experience, based not only on taste but also on knowledge.
Price-wise, it's a mid-to-high-end option: it's not a cheap trattoria, but the quality of the fish (in Turin), the cuisine and preparation, and the setting fully justify the expense. It's the perfect restaurant for a special dinner, to celebrate an occasion, or simply to indulge in a refined moment in the spirit of Puglia.
In short, I recommend this Apulian seafood restaurant in Turin: a successful fusion of Apulian seafood tradition and the culinary theater of show cooking. Highly recommended for those who love quality seafood and want something more than a simple dinner: an engaging and satisfying gastronomic experience.
