Very characteristic but well-kept place, excellent quality/price for the delicious risotto and wine. Must try!

We went there accompanied by friends from Verona famous for risottos. And I confirm everything. Fast friendly service, truly excellent risottos, rice grown by them. Fixed menu including drinks and risotto encore. Really good. The room is very well kept and characteristic. The staff also pays attention to details.

Characteristic restaurant housed inside an ancient pile. In fact, at the entrance there is a small museum with the equipment and machinery once used for the production of rice. The menu includes traditional local dishes, with great importance given to risottos, from the classic risotto all'isolana, through risotto all'amarone and other very tasty combinations. The restaurant is well furnished with traditional peasant furniture and accessories, I personally recommend it for a romantic outing. I ate very well, the portions are generous and the prices are also rightly commensurate

Historic restaurant in a beautiful location, the first historical evidence of the building dates back to 1642. The risottos are delicious, and you can do the tasting and try different types. Friendly and helpful staff.

The Pila dell'Abate restaurant in Isola della Scala was a very pleasant discovery. The location is suggestive and welcoming, outside but above all inside. Everything is extremely well looked after, it feels like taking a step back in time, when the structure was a working mill. There are many vintage objects carefully displayed. The cuisine is amazing: we tried their risotto tasting upon reservation (in our case, radicchio and Monte Veronese, obviously the Isolana and Amarone risotto, but the proposals vary based on the season and the fresh products available). the tasting includes appetizer, trio of risottos and dessert. Right portions, careful presentation, possibility of "doing an encore" and exceptional flavours. Note of merit for the cooking of the rice, perfect. Compliments also for the staff and the service: always attentive, with the right attitude, and the smile that never fails. Also available to prepare proposals for vegetarians. Well done everyone! We will definitely be back!

Il ristorante Pila dell'Abate di Isola della Scala è stata una piacevolissima scoperta. La location è suggestiva e accogliente, all'esterno ma soprattutto all'interno. È tutto estremamente curato, sembra di fare un salto indietro nel tempo, quando la struttura era un mulino in attività. Ci sono tantissimi oggetti d'epoca esposti con cura. Strepitosa la cucina: abbiamo provato la loro degustazione di risotti su prenotazione (nel nostro caso, radicchio e monte veronese, ovviamente il risotto all'Isolana e quello all'Amarone, ma le proposte variano in base alla stagione e ai prodotti freschi disponibili). la degustazione prevede antipasto, tris di risotti e dessert. Porzioni giuste, presentazione curata, possibilità di "fare il bis" e sapori eccezionali. Nota di merito per la cottura del riso, perfetta. Complimenti anche per lo staff e il servizio: sempre attenti, con il giusto atteggiamento, e il sorriso che non manca mai. Disponibili a preparare proposte anche per chi è vegetariano. Bravissimi tutti! Torneremo sicuramente!

Nice place, excellent food, very good prices, friendly staff, prepared for gluten-free needs, one important thing is that they welcomed my big dog and also brought a bowl of water.

Abbiamo trascorso il pranzo di Natale nel ristorante la pila dell’abate e devo dire che è stata una bellissima esperienza. Fin all’entrata lo staff ci ha accolto con gentilezza e ci ha accompagnato al tavolo. Il ricco menù del pranzo era composto da 6 portate, tutte le pietanze erano davvero ottime, in particolare il risotto all’isolana, piatto tipico della zona, e le porzioni erano abbondanti. La durata del servizio è stata adeguata alla lunghezza del menù e tutte le pietanze sono state servite con velocità senza attendere troppo tra un piatto e l’altro. I camerieri inoltre sono stati gentili, professionali e cortesi. Abbiamo trascorso uno speciale e indimenticabile Natale in compagnia di amici e parenti, ci siamo sentiti come a casa, consigliatissimo!
