La Picea In Levanto

If you're in Levanto and crave a truly well-made pizza, La Picea is a must-visit. The quality is evident from the first bite, but the real highlight is the dough: one of the best I've ever eaten. Light, well-leavened, fragrant on the outside and soft on the inside, easy to digest, and perfectly airy. You can tell there's a lot of research, experience, and attention to the ingredients behind it. The toppings are also top-notch: fresh ingredients, thoughtful combinations, and balanced flavors, without being overbearing. Each pizza is generous and well-topped, but never heavy. The place is welcoming, and the service is organized even when it's busy. For this reason, I absolutely recommend booking, especially on weekends and in high season, as it gets very busy and the wait can be long. A place you'll want to return to for its authentic quality and consistency.

It's true! The pizza was absolutely incredible! Creamy, not too rich, light, and with a wonderful flavor! Salads weren't available, which was a shame, and it wasn't mentioned beforehand, but the taste of this pizza made up for it. (It's the one that won an award in the "gourmet" category.)

I have traveled quite a bit, in Italy of course but across the world too: I am no part of any jury but let it be known that this was the best pizza I ever had. Congratulations, maestro!!🙏🏻

The pizzas are fantastic and don't have the same toppings as everywhere else. Very nice. It's a shame that the owners and staff don't seem to care about welcoming guests. We weren't greeted after waiting quite a while (they don't adhere to the opening hours). We were brought the wrong drinks, and we waited forever for dessert. In my opinion, the service staff would be good, but they're poorly managed. We also had the misfortune of having a noisy family behind us (the kids had their parents wrapped around their little paws). The place looks cool, though it can be a bit noisy depending on the corner. In short: You practically have to earn these delicious pizzas.

Very good, but I expected better. For a pizza that won a world competition, I'm a little disappointed. However, everything is delicious: the ham I chose is excellent, the mascaron cream really adds something special to the pizza, and the crust is thin and crispy but could be a bit thicker. The only slight drawback is the wait before being served. The pizza chef seems lost in the kitchen and takes a long time to prepare the pizzas. We waited 20-30 minutes for one pizza when there were only six to make… The service is adequate, but nothing special. However, they are multilingual—French, English, Italian, and German—which really makes communication easier.

I'll start by saying that I chose this place because the website had a menu with certain prices, but upon our arrival, we discovered that the menu had been updated and the prices had increased. We still ordered two pizzas (one of which was "gourmet") and two medium beers: everything was good, but the toppings on the IRA pizza were sparse, and the pizzas weren't particularly large. All in all, we spent €50 for two, which I honestly thought was excessive for what we got.
