A few steps from the station, I was lucky to find a table because I arrived practically at the opening; I definitely had to leave the table in a short time, but no one told me anything. The menu is simple, unfortunately the things I wanted were not available, perhaps better to say as soon as you sit down. In any case I had an appetizer, a second course and a side dish. Super abundant: carpaccio, sausage and baked potatoes. I left really full. I recommend calling so you don't run out of space. Starter 15 euros, main course 10 with coke, liter water and coffee total: 33 euros.

I stayed at Villa San Giovanni for 12 days, I toured various places, all risto-pubs with high prices and food reduced to very questionable quantities, then I found the small tavern, a meat restaurant and butcher's shop, few dishes but GOOD and GENEROUS PORTIONS! Tasted the sliced ​​beef, sliced ​​chicken, max hamburger, mixed veal and nduja meatballs. The waiter was very kind, the place was clean, small and welcoming, the prices were VERY HONEST, I must say I ate very well and spent the right amount. If I return I will definitely know where to eat without fail! Thanks for everything

Piacevole scoperta a 5 minuti a piedi dagli imbarchi di Villa S. Giovanni. In questa risto macelleria c’è tutto lo spirito calabrese: genuinità, semplicità e sostanza. Personale gentile ed accogliente. Materia prima di qualità. Ero interessato alla grigliata mista ed agli antipasti che vedevo passare. Per il poco tempo che avevo (e per la giornata afosa) ho optato per involtini ed insalata verde. Gli involtini all’ ‘nduja e alla pancetta non avevano niente da invidiare alle migliori bombette pugliesi. Carne buona, cottura al punto giusto e formaggio filante davvero eccezionale: i sapori quelli veri. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Oltretutto caffè offerto, piccoli gesti che fanno sempre piacere

Pochi posti,vi consiglio di prenotare. Ottima cucina con presentazione di piatti veramente buoni,complimenti allo schef. Bracieria in centro a Villa San Giovanni a pochi passi dagli imbarchi per la Sicilia. Squisite le polpette al sugo e quelle con l'anduia a chi piace il piccante e non parliamo della mortadella arrostita, la tagliata eccezionale ricoperta di grana e rucola accompagnata da un buon vino locale. Locale pulito ,personale gentilissimo e preparato. Il locale dispone anche di una macelleria ,tantissimi i prodotti preparati dal proprietario, disponibile anche carni pregiate frollate. Se vi trovate a passare non esitate a fermarvi.....tornerò sicuramente 👍

La Piccola Taverna is the place you don't expect. It is in fact a butcher's shop which, in addition to offering a vast choice in the sector, amazes inside with its well-optimised and welcoming catering space. I have already stopped 4 times for dinner while traveling and every time I am amazed by the kindness of the waiter ready to suggest dishes on and off the menu with grace and knowledge of the facts. Furthermore, the quality of the preparations and the grilled meat are a certainty that remains unchanged and this pushes me to return and try new dishes. It is difficult to recommend a particular dish, needless to say that there is "a professor" on the grill, the presentation and cooking are perfect and respond to the customer's request. I tried the exploded grilled potatoes for their uniqueness, I had them customized with a 'nduja cream and I was satisfied without any problems. What can I say, don't miss the opportunity to shock your taste buds, the flavors are authentic, genuine and take you back to childhood (I'm 54 years old) 😉. Very welcoming place. We ate well and the waiters were kind and very helpful. Top meat! We will definitely return. Thanks in particular to the boy who found us a place as the place was already full.
