A "historic" bakery: that churns out many delicacies that can be eaten on the spot or taken away. Excellent pizzas, sfincione, desserts and the inevitable cannoli with Piana ricotta. Friendly and helpful staff. On-site consumption includes a couple of outdoor tables.

Bakery almost at industrial level .... The bread is not bad .... typical of the area ... The rest is decent rotisserie, pastry shop and biscuits

Large and well laid out shop which allows for a complete overview. Friendly and helpful service, good and well-assorted pastries, decent rotisserie, baking not always up to par. Overall, absolutely convenient value for money.

I met him years ago: always exceptional aromas and flavours, excellent bread and pizza, delicious cannoli filled on the spot! Friendly and smiling service, a place that is always popular. An obligatory stop if you pass through Piana

Ristorante Al Covo dei Beati Paoli

03/07/2025: We had a pleasant time in this well-located restaurant, right in front of the famous ancient tree of Palermo. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the tables are well-set and the interior is well-kept and welcoming. The dishes are good, even if some do not fully do justice to the environment. The dressage could be a little more refined, to better enhance the experience. The menu, rather extensive, perhaps deserves to be simplified to highlight some well-executed specialties. Despite these small aspects, we enjoyed the dinner and the kindness of the staff. Thanks to all the staff for this moment!
30/06/2025: The pizza was rubbery to the point of being edible. In general, the quality/price ratio was not in line with the standards of the place.

Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa

03/07/2025: Spent 3 nights at the hotel in June 2025. Great location near the center of Palermo. The hotel layout is charming. The rooms were clean with excellent amenities. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast buffet had excellent choices. Highly recommended!
30/06/2025: Truly, a grand old hotel that is impeccably maintained. The common areas as well as the hotel rooms are truly stunning and represent a bygone era. Service is impeccable and staff is very willing to help. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay for one evening and was disappointed that we did not stay at this hotel at the start of our trip.
