The best pastry shop in Brianza, hands down!
Crunchy and fragrant brioche dough, superb filling.
We loved them so much we ordered three.
Good value for money.

Giussano's breakfast is characterized by novelty and uniqueness, at a price that's definitely higher than average. It's worth a visit, at least to try it out. Breakfast for two: about €11.

Special brioches that change often, even weekly. You'll find classic and timeless options, as well as more unusual ones. Delicious and highly recommended.

08/25 We went again for breakfast on Ferragosto, around 8:00 a.m. This time the selection was much wider, so we chose cappuccinos, the Pac à la Perret, and the weekly special "Chicco di caffè" with chocolate and coffee brownie and tiramisu cream.
The pain au chocolat, elongated and cross-laminated on the top, was gigantic, perfectly honeycombed, buttery, crunchy on top, and with three thick bars of dark chocolate inside, just the way I like it. If it hadn't been glazed, I think it would have been truly perfect.
Then the Chicco di caffè with tiramisu: filled with an immense amount of brownie and a touch of mascarpone cream, what a delight! The soft and moist brownie, with a strong cocoa flavor that clearly prevailed over the coffee, which was barely noticeable, and completely covered in bitter cocoa on the outside, was a real treat that reminded me of a typical dessert and was truly filling.
The only problem was that, being outside, we were really bothered by the numerous mosquitoes.
09/25 We went for breakfast on a Tuesday a few months ago. Despite it being still early, around 8:15, the selection of croissants was very limited, so unfortunately we opted for the basic one: I chose a plain croissant, with fabulous, large air pockets and a pleasant buttery flavor; I liked it. My boyfriend instead chose a cream croissant, very smooth and shiny, but very, very sweet and without any visible vanilla flecks inside.
The atmosphere was quiet and welcoming, but it was a real shame about the limited selection of croissants available that day.
Average prices.

I always start with: EXCELLENT cleanliness, politeness, and friendliness. A place to eat inside and outside, located in a quiet area of Giussano. The croissants are huge and delicious.

This French pastry shop offers a different breakfast experience, far from the classic croissant found in the cafes of Brianza. The pastry is crispier, lighter, and richer in flavor, with a variety of original and unique options.
The prices of some croissants may seem a little higher than average, but they are proportionate to the quality and uniqueness of the products: they vary based on the type, size, and flavor.
This morning, for example, there was no plain croissant (I don't know if that's a fixed choice or just for today), but the selection was still varied.
As for drinks, the prices seemed super normal.
Highly recommended if you want to break out of the routine and try something different :)

Forget the croissant. In Giussano, the 'Lemon Poppy Bun' is rewriting the rules of breakfast ✨
📍 Finally, in Giussano, there's a pastry shop that's quietly raising the bar for breakfast in Brianza. The ambiance is modern and refined, but it's the substance that counts. And here, it wins big!
👍 The presentation is textbook design: designer black cups, slate plates that showcase the real jewels in the crown: the leavened pastries.
We tried two specialties that alone were worth the trip:
🌟 Lemon Poppy Bun (€3.50, perhaps a bit pricey): Calling it a brioche is an understatement. It's a creation. A sort of flaky, ball-shaped braid, crunchy and sprinkled with poppy seeds (which I'd never tasted before), hiding a creamy, vibrant lemon cheesecake core. A masterful balance. It's the kind of product that, after tasting it, makes you wonder how you ever lived without it.
🥐 Cream Cruffin (€2.50, also perhaps a little pricey): Even the more "classic" cream cruffin is executed with impeccable technique. Well-defined layers of pastry and a top-quality custard.
☕ All accompanied by two Classic Cappuccinos (€1.80 each, guess what? Also perhaps a little pricey), dense (almost how I like it) and served at the perfect temperature, demonstrating how the attention to detail extends even to the bases. Having requested a very light one, I must admit that it was one of the few bars that managed to serve me a well-balanced cappuccino without overdoing it with the coffee.
✅ Veteran's tip: Don't think twice. Order the "Lemon Poppy Bun" by name and surname! 😁 Be prepared to spend a bit, but after all, at least once, and considering the caliber of this breakfast, it's worth it!
Verdict: La Petite Pasticceria is a place to mark in your diary. It represents the evolution of breakfast pastries: bold, precise, unforgettable. An experience, not just a coffee. Top marks. 💯

Wide selection of Swiss pastry brioches. Unfortunately, at 10 a.m. on Sundays, half of them are sold out or already reserved by regular customers.

Consigliatissimo!
