La Petite Mondina In Lodi

A discovery. Very positive experience.

Small and cozy, peculiar combinations of flavors, good quality e quanty. Very friendly staff (we were with two small kids and they were very nice and easy going). I definitely recommend for some northern cuisine with a touch!

Already in a first telephone contact, to book a dinner for six people, they were super helpful and ready to meet our needs regarding tastes and intolerances. We dined in a small but comfortable environment. Professional and kind waiting staff, super chef. Dishes beautiful to look at and good to taste. Excellent value for money. We will definitely return.

The structure does not show either the quality or the kindness of the service. Limited but very refined menu, well prepared and well served. Excellent service in the dining room. Obviously limited but valid wine shop, especially regarding the wines of the Oltre Po' Pavese. Very fair bill. PS amazed by the quality of the food, which did not match the limited size of the place, we were informed of the existence of the restaurant La Mondina, also managed by them, in a large and beautiful farmhouse nearby. (La Mondina, via Moschinone 18 Marudo Lodi) It will be a must to know it.

Restaurant chosen by chance because it was in the center of Lodi. Never was a choice more fortunate! Small but welcoming place. The dishes were very well-prepared and exceptional in quality and taste as well as original. The boy who served us was very kind. The boy at the stove (there are only two of them) we did not meet him but he deserves all our praise. The only flaw, which however has nothing to do with the food, the Toilet outside the restaurant.

Good food and a bit of a long wait

I'll start by apologizing for not being able to describe the dish I ordered because it really deserves a separate comment, however I ordered a four cheese risotto, which was paired with sauces/jams (excuse the language). Every single forkful was a joy (what do I say, Ecstasy!!!) for my palate, an always new taste with every bite and a masterly combination of flavours. I was truly ecstatic, the presentation perfectly anticipated what was a great symphony of flavours, perfectly balanced with each other. I swear that these words cannot describe in the slightest the emotions I felt WITH EVERY FORKFLEWABLE, always different and always incredibly perfectly coordinated. I was truly amazed, I have never experienced such a surprise in front of a dish. As for the service, I'll just say exceptional because I'm still thinking about the dish I was served. I entered very hungry and after this first course I was unexpectedly full, the environment is small and welcoming, elegant and intimate. I gave four stars only for the bathroom outside but honestly... STIGRAN... Really enthusiastic about the experience, I plan to return as soon as possible. Ogni volta che si presenta l'occasione di visitare una mostra a Lodi è ormai consuetudine, assieme alla nostra coppia di amici, prenotare velocemente la Petite Mondina (i coperti sono limitatissimi!). Questo piccolo bistrot è ormai parte integrante delle nostre piacevoli gite in quanto uno dei migliori posti dove tutti noi abbiamo mai mangiato. Piatti eccezionali, curatissimi nella presentazione e dagli abbinamenti sorprendenti (pur restando fedeli alla tradizione locale). Abbiamo approfittato del menù degustazione che offre un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, e ribadisco: i sapori che lo Chef permette di assaporare sono una vera e propria esperienza memorabile. Il servizio è stato attento e gentile, molto accogliente. Vale sicuramente la pena spingersi fin qui anche se un po' distanti da Lodi. Complimenti allo Chef per la ricerca e la straordinaria maestria che risulta dai suoi piatti.
