A small but very cute and welcoming place. We ate outside with a splendid view of the aqueduct steps (one of the most beautiful views in Perugia). The food was delicious, all in the shape of meatballs. We had the cacio e pepe, pea, and ragù meatballs (I took the photo too late 😅) and the eggplant meatballs, excellent with the torta al testo (a kind of bread) for the obligatory mopping up of the sauce. For dessert, the tiramisu meatballs and the torta caprese (cake), all delicious. The staff was truly friendly and kind. I'll be back to try more meatballs 😊

The restaurant is located in the heart of Perugia, between the top of the steps of the historic medieval aqueduct and the adjacent, beautiful Morlacchi Theater. The restaurant is a beautiful, intimate, and well-kept space. At various times of the year, as in my case, it offers live music and sophisticated DJ sets. With stone vaults dating back to the Etruscan civilization, it also offers a lovely outdoor terrace. This, especially on summer evenings and during Umbria Jazz, makes you feel at the center of Perugian and world history. Not surprisingly, given its central location, the restaurant is accessible to wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. There is a drop-off point in front of the entrance. It's suitable for a simple, elegant dinner, for couples or friends. The owner is attentive, discreet, transparent, and very courteous. His culinary offerings, especially meatballs, are inspired by the delicious food he ate as a child at his grandmother's. Strictly handmade, they offer a variety of Umbrian flavors, but also offer vegetarian options. The staff is young, fast, and attentive to the needs of each customer. Prices are in line with the quality of the raw materials used. I won't even mention the delicious flavor; it simply deserves to be tasted. From aperitifs by the glass to draft beer, they offer a variety of beverages. Whether you look at the menu at the table or the menu displayed outside at the entrance, you can clearly see the offerings and their prices. A useful fact: attached to the restaurant is a small, legendary fountain of excellent drinking water, a popular destination and arrival reward, especially in the summer, for residents, tourists, and their furry friends who climb the steps of the aqueduct. I'll conclude by saying that: For those who live in Perugia or for those who visit en masse as tourists, the restaurant LA PECORA NERA always STAND OUT for many reasons.

Ci siamo fermati per un aperitivo veloce che è diventato un pranzo!!! Le migliori polpette mai mangiate! Cacio e pepe,ragù e piselli ben equilibrate e fritte alla perfezione con panatura fragrante e non unta . Polpette di carne con salsa tonnata, morbide e perfettamente abbinate ai capperi fritti !!! Complimenti!!!

Informal but elegant at the same time. Friendly and youthful atmosphere. Stellar meatballs!! We ate 5 types and we almost ate the plate too!! Very good!!!!
