If you are looking for a corner of Sicily in a simple and welcoming format, this small restaurant "La Palermitana" in Anzio is a real jewel. More like a take-away, it offers an essential but delicious menu, with ready-made first courses such as baked pasta and pasta alla Norma, some light fried foods and irresistible desserts, including the classic Sicilian cannoli. Despite its small size, it has enough seating to ensure a comfortable and relaxed meal, as well as a clean and spacious bathroom that contributes to overall comfort. The quality of the food is excellent, the price is very honest, around €15 each, and the owners are welcoming and kind. A great choice for a simple and tasty meal.

Very good food... we sat down and took various things, all very good... it's the second time we've come and both times we were told that the bathrooms were out of order... so we won't go back again because we're always in group and if someone needs to go to the bathroom it is not possible that they are always out of order for customers who linger at the tables while consuming well

La Palermitana was born in the heart of Anzio in a small alley in the center of everything. The activity brings back the originality of all the typical Sicilian products just like in Sicily, fresh and handmade enclosed in ancient flavors of the past, I tasted the arancini with pistachio and speck and with ragù, the Palermo crostino, Sicilian pizzas of various flavors , 7-ply cake, pizza by the shovel, all delicious, and then... his majesty the Sicilian cannoli with amazing chopped pistachios. I had the opportunity to consume inside the room right next to the shop, a clean and welcoming environment, very kind, qualified and competent staff. Excellent value for money. I recommend this place, the important thing is to always book... Everything sells out!!!

Awesome experience with local food and friendly atmosphere. Service at the restaurant were not able to speak english very well, but they politely found the way how to comunicate with google translator. Food was very good and quite cheap compare to restaurants around.

Very nice local food for low prices. The lady at the counter didn’t speak english but a was able to serve us thanks to a kind local man (also customer), who helped us get oriented in the menu. The place is more a bistro than a restaurant, but that doesn’t take away from the nice, authentic atmosphere.

In più di un'occasione abbiamo preso a portar via da questo piccolo negozio al centro di Anzio. Abbiamo provato sia gli arancini che gli altri rustici e pane e panelle. Tutto davvero ottimo! Consigliatissimo.

19/02/2025: Abbiamo pranzato in 3 adulti di domenica. Abbiamo prenotato trovando posto alle ore 14:15. Locale in centro, molto piccolo ma raccolto ed accogliente. Il titolare è persona gentile, discreta ed affabile, prende personalmente le comande e segue premurosamente i clienti durante il pasto. I prezzi, medio-alti, sono riportati sul menu, che viene portato all'inizio (è anche consultabile su internet). Mezzo litro di vino bianco della casa (discreto), 1 acqua min., 2 antipasti (insal. di polpo e cozze alla marinara, entrambi squisiti), 2 primi (riso alla pescatora, eccellente ed abbondante + spaghetti alle vongole, buoni ma non di particolare gustosità), 2 secondi (frittura di calamari e gamberi, gusto davvero eccezionale e quantità generosa, servita bollente+ 1 grigliata di pesce), 2 dolci, 1 caffè. Prezzo pagato € 110. La preparazione del cibo è davvero pregevole, anche se alcuni ingredienti ittici sono surgelati, come riportato sul menu (ad esempio, la frittura di calamari e gamberi, che sembrerebbero freschissimi e che raccomando vivamente). In conclusione, un'esperienza più che positiva, che credo replicheremo. Complimenti Sig. Francesco

23/02/2025: The food was amazing! The artichoke was tender and delicious, the pasta with sea bass in a lemon sauce was refreshing and inspiring, and the stuffed vine leaves were full of flavor. The final treat and the homemade tiramisu were absolutely divine. The waitstaff were exceptionally friendly, and the hostess created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Highly recommended!
