11/09/2025: Sayonara is a very popular lunch spot among locals if you're spending the whole day at the beach.
There's almost always a free table, and the food comes quickly.
Of course, it's not a fine Michelin-starred restaurant, but for a very relaxed beach atmosphere, the food is really high-quality and good.
You order using a slip of paper that's brought to your table. You write your name on it and check the dishes you want. You hand it over to the cashier, and when the food is ready, your name is announced, and you can pick it up. I find that quite funny.
Sayonara also has its own, not-so-small beach with loungers and umbrellas for rent. Unfortunately, we didn't ask how much they cost because we always stayed at other "Bagnos," such as Bagno Carlo Rossi, Bagno Flora, or Bagno Grazia.
The restaurant isn't as busy in the evenings, so if you can't get a seat at the neighboring and very popular "La Caretta" and you're hungry, you can't go wrong here.
The pizza Margherita for €5 was our perennial favorite, also available to take back to our vacation apartment.
My tip: the swordfish for €13.
The house wine is also delicious and, like everything else, absolutely affordable.
08/09/2025: I stopped for a beer with friends, and we got 1 focaccia, chips and croquettes to nibble on, the focaccia is more of a "scrocchiarella" than a focaccia, nice atmosphere and very good beer
