This is THE place to buy panforte, the delicious Tuscan specialty with fruit and nuts. Don't be lured by the beautiful wrappers on the factory-made panforte sold in all the souvenir stores. These folks make everything themselves, and you can taste the difference. Personally, I like the panforte pepato - heavy on the spices with a little black pepper for punch. BTW I found La Nuova Pasticceria by asking the woman in a souvenir store on the piazza. She said it's where her whole family shops.

We ate a piece of Nonna's cake and it was divine 😍 We paid euros. They sell many other delicious pastries and the girl is super friendly. I recommend visiting them if you are in Siena.

The best Ricciarelli’s in the world❤️ I would move to Sienna for that reason alone

We bought 60 packs of cantucci for our wedding guests and they were delicious! There was an issue with our banktransfer for the payment, and the owner helped us to solve the problem. Will definitely come back when we are in this area again.

As a tourist, I only bought the ricciarelli and I found them spectacular: soft, fresh, sweetened to the right degree. The kind and affable sales assistant, the welcoming place. Recommended (at least for ricciarelli)
