It was recommended to us by a local. The cuisine is typical Tuscan and, as the name of the restaurant suggests, it reminds us of the dishes cooked by our grandmother. We chose the pappardelle with wild boar and the tagliatelle with mushrooms, all accompanied by a glass of Chianti. Both delicious and generous portions. Excellent value for money. The staff was kind and helpful. The restaurant is at the top of a hill, close to the historic center. It can also be reached by car. We arrived on foot but there were parking lots along the road or in some spaces further down. Highly recommended!

An excellent Tuscan dining experience. Very friendly staff, great food. We were there in the off season (March) so parking was quite easy and it wasn’t hard to get a table. The Papardelle with wild boar was excellent as was the Polenta with wild boar. Mixed beef/lamb grill was good. Tagliatelle with truffles was incredible.

I liked both the place and the food, I ate the house starter and Bringoli with fake sauce, which I really liked, the Pan di caffè was also excellent

Obbligata nel senso che al martedì molti ristoranti sono chiusi e non avendo suggerimenti abbiamo optato per questo. Pranzato in coppia, scelto bringoli al sugo finto, buoni, e tagliatelle ai funghi, discrete. Tiramisù, buono e pan di caffè discreto. Personale cortese, prezzi nella norma, locale caratteristico.

Vado spesso in questo ristorante quando sono ad Anghiari per lavoro. Antipasti ottimo, specialmente il crostino con il paté di fegatini, buonissimo lo spezzatino, con carne tenera a saporita. Da rivedere i dolci, poco vari ma molto buoni i cantuccini

15/10/2024: Fomos a tratoria após pesquisarmos no TripAdvisor um restaurante próximo ao nosso hotel e que estivesse aberto em uma segunda-feira. Foi uma grata surpresa! A tratoria nos pareceu muito tradicional e familiar ! Fica num recanto escondidinho próximo a praça central. Estava tudo delicioso, desde a entrada - brusquetas mistas - até a sobremesa - tiramissu. Tomamos vinhos em taça pra experimentar as diversas opções de uvas e estavam todos muito bons ! Super recomendo!
05/09/2024: If you find yourself visiting Cortona (AR), I recommend this restaurant. The dishes you find are typical Tuscan cuisine. Particular mention for the Chianina tartare with capers, truffle tagliolini and osso bucco. The wine list features interesting labels from local producers to try as an alternative to the more well-known Tuscan labels.

04/11/2024: Eravamo in viaggio di ritorno dal Nord verso Roma, e all'ora di pranzo volevamo fare una tappa per riposarci e mangiare qualche cosa. Per puro caso abbiamo scelto questo paesino e questa locanda, e mai scelta fu più fortunata. L'osteria è situata proprio dietro la piazza principale del paese, e si presenta come una tipica locanda toscana, con la sua aria quasi di casa. Abbiamo iniziato con un antipasto toscano, poi alcuni hanno preso degli ottimi ravioli di baccalà al pomodorino, altri hanno preso un divino stufato di manzo con polenta. Il tutto per un costo onestissimo e con dei sapori assolutamente genuini. A finire dei dolci fatti in casa, ottimi. Bravi, assolutamente consigliato
19/08/2024: Davvero una piacevole scoperta, un osteria davvero carina dov’è abbiamo mangiato molto bene, con prodotti ottimi, tutto buonissimo! Tempi di attesa quasi nulli, giusto il tempo di prepararli, consigliatissima!!
