Sunday in Anghiari for the Palazzo Taglieschi Museum and in Citerna for Donatello's Madonna. La Nena did the rest. The food was delicious and well-prepared. The service and atmosphere were excellent. Thank you!

My wife and I had been here years ago on another business trip like this: I'm a wholesaler in the industry, and I have a supplier nearby. I often eat out, for pleasure or for work, where work also means meeting customers (whom I won't review for fairness' sake). All this to say, I'm not easily impressed. But I had fond memories, especially of the appetizers, so we came back, and not just because of the time. And yes, we had a good time. But certainly not for joy or disappointment: either we remembered incorrectly, or something has changed. So, yes, it's good... like many others.

We showed up unannounced, and they still made room for us, which is a good thing.
We tasted a very tasty braised cheek dish; I said tasted because in our area they usually serve a whole cheek (which isn't much), while here they only serve three slices. This isn't meant to be controversial, but rather to clarify, as it's the restaurant that decides how to portion the steak.
I come to the sore point: the sliced steak. Unfortunately, it wasn't undercooked, but rather, it was so chewy it was difficult to cut even with a knife. In my humble opinion, it had been portioned against the grain when cut, making it so tough (as nature teaches us). I didn't feel like sending it back sooner because it was getting late and I was so hungry that, with my teeth, I didn't bother... but the fact remains. I only mentioned this to the young, very kind, and apologetic waitress, who insisted on reporting it to the kitchen, but at my insistent request, I told her to keep it for herself, obviously for the reasons mentioned above.
Personally, I think the tagliata could have been presented with some vegetables or, at least, accompanied by…
The location is a bit cramped but nice, and the winery, both local and otherwise, is excellent.

We just left this lovely restaurant with our one-and-a-half-year-old baby and we're really satisfied. We had a mixed antipasto with cured meats, crostini, and ricotta, all delicious. Next, a fantastic chickpea soup and an excellent tagliata, with cannellini beans and a vegetable flan as a side. We drank water and a nice house Chianti, and finished with a delicious tiramisu and a pandoro with Chantilly cream. The staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and professional, and the price was very fair. Thank you so much!

I chose this restaurant after reading the Gambero Rosso article.
I give it 5 stars because it perfectly captures the setting.
A historic, informal restaurant, a classic Tuscan trattoria where time has stood still.
Compliments to Enrica, the waitress, whom I thank for sharing her knowledge of the area and the dishes served.
Recommended dish: BRINGOLI di Anghiari.

Passing by with friends, nothing to complain about the service. The food was excellent and plentiful. We found the price of a bottle of house wine to be rather high at €20, and the total price at €142 was also quite high for what we consumed.

The best in the area! We had a truly wonderful time, and the quality of the food is Tuscan with a capital T!
All the waiters and the owner were extremely friendly. If I were to return to Anghiari, I would gladly return. Finally, someone who puts in the effort in the kitchen, knows how to truly showcase the dishes, and loves their job.
It's a shame we can't return soon... TRY IT!
