There are several good restaurants in Orta San Giulio, some even awarded Michelin stars. La Motta is an excellent and more affordable alternative. They cultivate regional cuisine at a high level, offer an interesting and extensive wine selection, and provide their guests with good tips and information. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening in a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere.

A gem! La Motta is located in a charming street, I had lunch with my group (20 people). The food is exquisite (special mention for their carpaccio) and the staff is adorable :) thanks to their entire team!

One of the best places to eat in San Giuliani. The terrace is also a pleasant place to sit. The zucchini with three different flavors is highly recommended. Very friendly service and good wines on the menu.

Delicious, we had lunch outside, cool and very elegant atmosphere with these white curtains fluttering, excellent food from starters to main courses. Good wine. I'll be back!

Warm Hospitality from the owner who accidentally overbooked that night in July . He created extra seating and laid on a Prosecco welcome , and complimentary canapes to start . The Lake Perch and Risotto with creamy sauce is exquisitely flavoured and creative ... as were many other dishes. A truly memorable dining experience ...hidden just off the main square and heading uphill to the Church. " Multo Bene y Grazie Millione "

20/10/2025: Weekday lunch menu for €15, including a first course, a second course, a side dish, a drink, and coffee. A truly positive experience, we had a great time: the food was excellent and the selection was extensive (you could choose from four first courses and four second courses). The staff was friendly and attentive. We'll be back! Recommended!
