In this trattoria you should know that the food is still home-made with truly generous portions prepared with traditional recipes, super seasoned and rich in calories. In a place where you are welcomed with friendliness and lots of warmth and a bit like feeling at home. ..it really feels good and we noticed that many tourists, even foreigners, pass by here..at the table the menu starts with first courses, second courses, side dishes, and desserts, there is little waiting to go to the tables, and outside the restaurant there is a nice free parking..if you arrive by car. I would say that for spending a good day, this is the perfect place in a fairytale village that is wonderfully managed. And the prices are very cheap 20..30 euros.

We found this restaurant by chance, but we're very pleased! Excellent value. We enjoyed a delicious Bonarda and sausage risotto, roast pork with baked potatoes, and the delicious red fruit tart. Friendly and very fast!

When the internet helps you.... Positive reviews, we choose this trattoria, leaving the highway behind. The town doesn't have much parking, especially if you have to park within 7 meters. Luck is on our side, though. Lisa and Diego welcomed us with their friendliness and eloquence. She also speaks English, so foreigners should stop here to enjoy simple, affordable home-style Italian cuisine. Today, which was Sunday, the €23 menu included a first and second course with a side dish, excluding drinks. We had a great time, as if we were longtime friends. We'll definitely come back.

Very good food and very good hosts

La Montanara è una piccola ed accogliente "trattorietta" situata in pieno centro storico a Riva del Garda. La simpatica e disponibile gestione offre piatti tipici del Trentino a prezzi veramente accessibili, vini locali anche sfusi e dolci dall'aspetto molto invitante! Gustosissimo e consigliato l'antipasto misto a base di affettati locali profumati e saporiti, accompagnati da un misto di verdure in agrodolce. Possibilità di mangiare anche all'aperto, all'ombra della graziosa via pedonale dov'è situato.
