La Montanara In Bologna

Absolutely great food and ambience. Carefully selected ingredients, homely cooking. While it’s not hard to get good food in bologna this place will hit the spot for most if not all. We got the lasagna verde rich bechamel and ragu (on point), chicory salad and the artichoke salads both delectable. Recommend the brodo. Very much echo the other reviewers.

The Montanara trattoria is a place with a slightly retro style, very well-kept and graceful. The dishes are presented very well and are all very tasty. I particularly appreciated the mixed platter of appetizers to share and I also really liked the passatelli, in a different variant than the usual one in broth.

Sunday lunch…. Everything was excellent... including dessert... Friendly and helpful staff.!!!!

This restaurant was amazing!! We had a bigger party of 8 and every single person loved the dish they ordered. The staff were very attentive and nice. If I’m ever back in Bologna I will be coming back!

Small and very intimate place, it gives the idea of ​​a slightly old-fashioned classic trattoria. I went there to eat with my family, they offered us an off-menu tortelli filled with artichokes that were really excellent! The food was all delicious, the only comment I would like to make was the Bolognese cutlet which was a little tough (not so much to eat, and it still had an excellent flavour, but rather to cut; we two of us ordered and we struggled a bit), but honestly I would still recommend this place - maybe we had a bit of bad luck - because the prices are honest, the food is excellent and so is the service.

Very nice Trattoria, very good pasta and good wine selection at a good price. Full when we were there in the middle of the week, but we got a table even though we booked the same day (March).

I chose this restaurant in Bologna because it was recommended by several people on social media and guaranteed by the excellent reviews. My expectations were a little disappointed. The place is small in fact it has two shifts 7pm and 9pm. We show up at 8.55pm but as soon as we enter they invite us in a hasty and not very kind manner to leave because "they were still setting up the tables". After exactly 1 minute they called us because the table was ready, perhaps checking it first would have been more welcome. The food is of quality, we took the main courses and side dishes, good on average. For dessert we had a slightly too sweet tender cake accompanied by mascarpone cream. Very hasty service, they started removing the plates when not all the guests had finished eating. Let's say I wouldn't go back because for me kindness and attention to the customer go hand in hand with the quality of the food.

The place is very characteristic for that alone, it's worth it. There aren't many seats but it's cozy. Very good food, recommended

Pranzo tradizionale bolognese. Lasagna e tagliatelle da favola. Ottimi gli antipasti. Vino della casa di buona qualità. Servizio rapido, discreto, preparato. Qualità/prezzo molto buona
