La Mescita In Firenze

Simply a fantastic experience Every time I return to Florence, I can't imagine not eating here at least twice. Trying is believing.

We had a lovely lunch at Vini La Mescita, and it was exactly the kind of place we hope to find when traveling. The atmosphere is small, calm, and artisanal — the sort of intimate space where you can relax, enjoy a glass of wine, and actually hear each other talk. The food was wonderful. You can taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite — fresh, thoughtful, and carefully prepared without being fussy. The portion sizes were just right for lunch: satisfying and well-balanced without leaving you overly full for the rest of the afternoon exploring Florence. It felt authentic and unpretentious, with a quiet confidence in both the kitchen and the wine selection. We would happily return the next time we’re in Florence. Highly recommended.

Very quiet (no TV or Muzak). Polite staff, very quick service. Authentic, austere atmosphere, like a traditional local place. Not a wide range of dishes but local food (pasta, Ragu). Very clean and peculiar toilet!

This historic restaurant in Florence is excellent and has remained as it was a long time ago, serving typical Florentine dishes.

It exudes local expertise. They definitely have to come.

Nice place, fair prices. But the owner had a hard time paying by card, even though he eventually accepted. An unpleasant ending.
