Typical Florentine place, we ate very well, we would like to return to try a bit of everything since when we passed we ate what was left: a peposo, two stewed rostincciana and a pasta with meat sauce, all really excellent. The gentleman in the kitchen who also helps out in the dining room is so kind and attentive, the gentleman behind the counter is a little brusque but helpful. The bad thing is that you can't pay by card and we didn't see any sign outside indicating this so going to pay and finding that they don't receive the card was surprisingly bad, but the food is the kindness of the gentleman in the kitchen is worth it Pena is a family shop.

Typical to no end, simple cuisine with traditional dishes cooked very well, perhaps I would avoid the bag in box wine and do a search for Tuscan wines, only Tuscan wines, it is sad to see an unadorned counter, in the display case cured meats, not a thousand only 6 but super typical and maybe 3 baking dishes with cold homemade appetizers, a sprinkling wouldn't hurt.

Among the few, wonderful places that should become the heritage of that humanity that still knows how to savor and enjoy good food. We took: peposo (I asked for the recipe: I will try to replicate it but the Florentine hand will be missing), tripe, chickpeas and beans all'uccelletto: all excellent. Incredible quality/price ratio. The owner was super friendly wand locked us in and read us the menu of the day as our Italian isn’t up to scratch :). Soon after ducking away to start cooking he was right back out with our food. It was so fresh and tasty we got a second round of dishes to try the rest of the menu. Would recommend if you like good food.

A very good restaurant in the center of Florence, a modest menu, only a few tables, but the food was fantastic, typical Italian and Tuscan cuisine.
