Fantastic experience and one that I would do again a thousand times. Attentive staff, quick and available to answer all your questions and explain the local specialties. The food? A gem, good good good. A place I highly recommend ❣️

La Mattera is a tavern that surprised and satisfied us. We went for dinner, the very courteous staff explained to us the typical dishes they offered and which we liked very much, tasty and plentiful. Good desserts too. Very honest prices. We'll be back!

As per the reviews, the menu changes from time to time, their pigeon alla Mattera probably always remains a constant, which unfortunately I was unable to taste. The paccheri with fried aubergines and flakes of cheese are excellent, as are the Cocetto di Mattera and the courgette and onion parmigiana. Also rigatoni (grilled cheese) accompanied by typical ham and focaccia. The potatoes with cheese and pepper sauce are good, perhaps a little small in quantity. Quart of loose house red wine of good quality and correct pairing. We were able to eat abroad in a classic tavern decor. The innkeeper is friendly, kind and carefully explains the menu. Definitely worth visiting again. For 4 people, 2 first courses, 2 second courses, a side dish, a quarter of wine, a coke and a liter of water €54

Siamo venuti attratti dalle recensioni precedenti ed è stata una piacevole esperienza. Personale molto cortese, menù ristretto ma molto curato con proposte di cucina locale con un tocco innovativo. Porzioni adeguate e prezzi nella norma. Ci tornerei dovessi ricapitare a Foligno.

I had dinner with a friend of mine and despite our lateness, they seated us with kindness and friendliness. Exceptional and professional staff, among the starters the white jelly with burrata and truffle was recommended: delicious! After which we ordered a first course made by them with Umbrian pesto, which was also delicious! All made with local raw materials and with a genuine flavour! Suitable for vegetarians! Advised!

We have eaten at this restaurant several times and have always enjoyed it. Genuine raw materials cooked excellently both according to local tradition and with a little imagination. Excellent service with waiters always friendly and helpful. Maybe chairs and tables are not super comfortable, but they are part of the rustic furniture. I recommend eating at this place
