Pappa al pomodoro with Umbrian pesto phenomenal, tagliatelle with pigeon filling wonderful as well as the second course and side dishes.

Menu that includes a few dishes, all excellent and also special, that change weekly. Very nice location located in the historic center and friendly and prepared staff. Possibility to ask for variations for vegetarians.

Hearty, tasty, quality food. These versions of the Umbrian tradition are very good: good starting from the "pizzetta" and the crescia. Tender and juicy the meat cooked in the earthenware pot. Honest prices and very knowledgeable staff, kinder than many more "in" places. A 10 dinner that I absolutely recommend to lovers of good food.

12/07/2025: It was a joy to discover this restaurant! We spent two days at a resort in Umbria where the food was truly awful, but luckily Locanda del Busta was just 10 minutes away. Exceptional! We went two nights in a row and will definitely return when we return to Umbria! The food is excellent, simple, and of the highest quality. The owner is truly polite, and all the staff are absolutely top-notch, kind, and helpful. A special thanks to Mrs. Giovanna, who works there with great passion and professionalism.

09/07/2025: We shared three pastas and each one was unique and delicious. The restaurant is run by a multigenerational family and you could tell their passion and commitment to great food and customer service. The restaurant is located in a small, historic, hill top town right in the middle of the main square and exuded plenty of old world charm. Certainly off the beaten path and Highly recommended. Update: we dined here again a year later. Happy to say it’s as good as we remembered it.
03/07/2025: We can’t recommend this place enough. The experience from the hospitality of Vittorio and his family to the taste and value of the food. Do yourself a favor and don’t miss an opportunity to dine here if you are in the area.
