Enchanting place and divine cuisine. Fig with mascarpone as a starter, off the scale.

We went for a walk in the Bergamo hills to get some fresh air given the low temperatures. We decided to eat at the La Martesana restaurant. The staff were very kind. They offered us a risotto with black rice, swordfish, and melon, with a sauce that made it special, very pleasant and fresh. We ate very well. I had a mixed fried fish, nice and crispy yet delicate. My husband had pasta alla Gragnano. A celebration of flavors paired well. Since it's hot, we didn't try other dishes. We'll definitely be back when the temperatures are cooler. We ordered coffee, and when it was served, they brought us a little jar of biscuits. Handmade shortcrust pastry biscuits, oh my goodness, they're delicious. I recommend it to everyone. Clean place. Spacious. Worth a stop.

My husband and I chose this restaurant for our wedding 25 years ago and returned to celebrate our anniversary. Besides the two bright rooms with panoramic views of the city of Bergamo, and the well-kept garden, the hospitality, service, food, and the kindness and helpfulness of all the staff once again transformed our celebration into a wonderful memory. Thank you to everyone, especially Mr. Matteo, who gave us excellent advice to make this day truly special.

I went to celebrate a baptism, so I couldn't try the restaurant with the dishes I wanted, and I had to adapt. However, the view and the wonderful landscape are very romantic. 🥰
