Estábamos de paso después de nuestra gira por Pompeya y estaba lloviendo. Vimos este lugar a una cuadra de nuestro hotel y acabamos de entrar. Es un pequeño restaurante, claramente de propiedad familiar. La mejor pasta carbonara de la historia y grandes ñoquis a un precio inferior al promedio. Más tarde, me sorprendió ver que la calificación de Tripadvisor era bastante baja, nuestra experiencia fue excelente y volvería cualquier día.

We were passing through after our Pompeii tour and it was raining. We saw this place a block from our hotel and just walked in. It is a small restaurant, clearly family owned. The best carbonara pasta ever and great gnocci at a less than average price. Our experience was excellent and would come back any day.

Most authentic meal I've had in Rome. The owner and her uncle work the Osteria and they are the ones serving you. They made our group feel welcomed, shared their history, and the pasta we had, had a homemade warmth and taste to it! It was molto bene!!!

Great food, warm hosts. Next to an Irish Pub, so noise level outside can vary in the late evening. The amatriciana was delicious!

It felt like having dinner at a friend’s house. They were very warm and the food is the classic Italian food. I can’t recommend this restaurant more. Please come here if you are looking for a good meal from good people.

Visité este encantador restaurante con menús escritos a mano esta noche - tenía deliciosos lingüini y el marido tenía pollo y patatas. Disfrutamos del vino de la casa y algunos suministros. Esta es una joya escondida en el corazón de Roma

We stumbled upon this & were not disappointed. It's away from the tourist hordes & felt more authentic and convivial. Food was excellent and more homespun than the bigger establishments. Thoroughly recommend.

10/05/2025: Really nice place in Testaccio, right in front of Monte de' Cocci... the menu offers Roman and other dishes prepared with great care. There were 4 of us and we tried 5 of the appetizers on the menu... but we would have liked to try them all. Potato and provola soup cooked to perfection and the ajo, oil and chilli pepper with exceptional red prawn... we had to stop because we were full but we will be back soon to try everything else. Truly a wonderful surprise.... I would say HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

25/05/2025: We ate very well, everything was very good. Also the prices are great we only spent 15 euros each. The pasta portions are huge.. one dish is good for two people.
24/05/2025: Traditional tavern, with decidedly generous portions and super affordable prices. Perfect for a lunch break, I recommend booking in advance
