Caffè & Ristorante La Loggia In Firenze

We spontaneously stopped by for lunch. The location was great and the service was very friendly. We were thrilled, and the food was delicious. Because of the location, the price is a bit high, which I can understand, but overall we were very satisfied.

We were hiding from the rain, we ordered only desserts (tiramisu and some orange thing) and drinks (non-alcoholic ginger beer cocktail and white wine). All was excellent + THIS view.. worth it! Note that we had not ordered any "main" dishes.

The food is ok. But they charge $4 service fee. Is it a normal practice here?

This place is amazing, with a beautiful view of Florence, especially in the evening. We only stopped for drinks and appetizers and were very pleasantly surprised. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere in this place is indescribable, with a beautifully lit terrace overlooking Florence, and there was also live music, the lady singing beautifully.

The place is pleasant to look at, obviously you can enjoy an incredible panoramic view of the city from there, unfortunately due to weather conditions I didn't get to sit on the terrace, the prices are high, and it's to be expected since it's located in front of one of the tourist spots and with no other place around to eat and/or drink something, well it is what it is... to a certain extent paying a little more is not a problem... as long as the food, the attention and the service are good, but in our case it wasn't like that, at least the service left a lot to be desired, the person who served us ignored us almost the entire time, very unfriendly, but the food was good, about that there were no complaints, if you're looking to taste authentic Florentine gastronomy this is not the place, yes, it is signature cuisine and of excellent quality, but it's more for an aperitif, a light snack... unless what you're looking for is to experience avant-garde cuisine. On the other hand, I only went up there to order a Fernet Branca and say this in my mind... "Every year I go to Florence, and there's a café on the banks of the Arno. I used to go there and order a Fernet Branca. I had this fantasy that at one of the other tables I'd see you, with a wife, maybe a couple of kids. You wouldn't say anything to me, and neither would I, but we both knew you were safe." 🦇🦇

After a long walk to get to Michelangelo Hill, you're greeted by a magnificent view, but you also need a place to unwind. This is that place. The dining area requires reservations and is generally full in the evenings. Let us know if you'd like to sit in the cafe and enjoy. We had a wonderful time relaxing with live music in the evening.

We defied the less-than-favorable reviews and decided to celebrate our 20th anniversary at this historic venue. I must say we were very impressed. The food was excellent (a reinterpretation of ossobuco with flan and saffron-flavored Diso, and monkfish cheek with diced vegetables on frisella), beautifully presented. The service was attentive and fast. The staff were friendly. Ambient music played in the background. A panoramic table with a view of Florence. A truly enjoyable evening. Kudos to the staff.

The food is delicious and the scenery is beautiful~

The restaurant itself was very nice, with beautiful views of Florence and a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately, the experience was spoiled by the lady waitress who felt the need to tell me I was “not a gentleman” because my partner paid the bill. A real gentleman is not defined by who hands over a credit card, but by how he treats the woman beside him. I sincerely hope you find the kind of “gentleman” you imagine: one who pays for every meal, and ideally allows you to live a life without ever having to work, instead of serving tourists in restaurants. Until then, perhaps it would be wiser to focus on providing respectful service rather than judging your guests.

After a nice walk, a lunch of cheese salad and club sandwich with a view!
