We went for dinner. The place was nice and welcoming. The staff was friendly. The food was delicious. For us, it was the best place we ate during our vacation in Turin.

So, let me start by complimenting the staff, very friendly and kind, 5 stars. The location is very nice and well-kept, welcoming, 5 stars. Unfortunately, for me, the good news ends there. We ordered two full meat menus, which included a good steak tartare, a fondue flan (bland), and a veal with tuna sauce whose sauce was too bland (I struggled to recognize it as tuna). The plinths with roast sauce were delicious (neither good nor bad), the braised beef in Barbera was flavorless, dry, and tough (everything a braised beef shouldn't be). The house Dolcetto wine was good. Since we left part of the braised beef, we received a €3 discount on the total. Too bad, I had much higher expectations.

"La Locanda di Lori" isn't your typical traditional Piedmontese restaurant. It's a true discovery for those, like me, who love classic flavors but are also looking for something new.
Their challenge? Staying true to their Piedmontese roots while revisiting dishes with an unexpected protagonist: fish.
The idea is bold, and the result is excellent. The dishes strike a perfect balance between the robustness of tradition (think sauces and cooking juices) and the delicacy of seafood.
Every course is a surprise: creative, beautifully presented, and, above all, delicious.
You can see a meticulous attention to the finest ingredients and an uncommon ability to reinvent without overturning.
The atmosphere of the inn is welcoming and refined, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.
In short: If you're looking for Piedmontese cuisine that surprises with a touch of the sea, "La Locanda di Lori" is a must-see.

I discovered this corner of culinary paradise thanks to a friend's recommendation. She was right! The food is excellent, prepared with passion and skill. The service is attentive and friendly. The location is clean and well-kept, like a home that welcomes guests and makes them feel at home. I won't be biased if I add that the chef, who is from Basilicata like me, puts so much love into it that it takes me back to my roots, where food is, above all, life and essence. Highly recommended. In fact, it's the best restaurant I've visited in Turin in recent years. Keep up the good work.
