Came back here after 6 years of a great experience and found out that nothing has changed! Still a restaurant with good food, good service and good price! Hope to come back again sooner than in 6 years!

Our first meal in Rome after checking into our hotel. The food was excellent along with the service. They were friendly and made it easy for us first timers in Rome.

Ho mangiato due volte nella mia permanenza. Ottima qualità della carne, dei primi tradizionali, cacio e pepe, carbonara. Unica pecca, ma a Roma è quasi ovunque così nelle trattorie, i tavoli incollati, che ti senti incarcerato. Personale e proprietario cortesi però...però...entrambe le volte ho visto offrire un liquore a fine pasto a tavoli di stranieri accanto a me. Magari un'attenzione anche a un italiano solitario...lo avanzo! Alla prossima!

Una ventina di posti a sedere in un locale ricavato due metri sotto il livello stradale, su via Crescenzio. Personale simpatico, romano, piatti del territorio. Fin troppo semplici nella presentazione dato che una costata è stata presentata sola soletta nel piatto. Ci sono andato a pranzo e a cena e della ricevuta fiscale manco l'ombra: un pezzo di carta e via!

23/08/2025: We came here for dinner while looking for a place near our hotel. The food we ordered was generally very satisfying, but what really stood out was how kind and attentive the servers were. Even though we had to wait a little, they arranged a table for us outside. Later, when we added another dish, they replaced all the utensils with fresh ones. They also checked in with us throughout the meal to make sure everything was good. It was such a nice experience to enjoy both delicious food and great service so close to our hotel. If I come back to Rome, I’d definitely like to eat here again.

Ai Tre Scalini - Bottiglieria dal 1895

11/09/2025: I’ve been here five wonderful times but I’m so embarrassed to have brought my friends here tonight. I have no problem with relaxed service but I’ve never been ignored by a waiter for over 40 minutes. Took 90 minutes to get water. After nearly two hours our meals finally came out. Two meals were good but the roast pork was dry. The wine is usually great, but unfortunately the rosato was terribly sweet. The red wines we had were lovely - would have loved another glass but it was impossible to order. What a disappointment.
