Great, atmospheric place in a street near the port. Friendly service, delicious food, great atmosphere... plus we came across live music. Large selection of sea dishes. Prices not too high. Delicious. I recommend!!

Fish dinner before boarding. Outdoor terrace with comfortable tables in the alley next to the restaurant. Excellent quality of dishes and quick and courteous service. Pets allowed without problems.

La Locanda de Porto was so, so good. If you can make it to any restaurant in Brindisi, try this one! It’s located off of a side street and is absolutely charming. There was live, romantic music outside and delicious food, plus great service.

The table was a bit awkward, as it was behind the refrigerator. Otherwise, everything was good, with very good food.

I recently had dinner at Locanda del Porto and the experience was overall very positive. The restaurant is located in a small alley with a sea view, a truly suggestive location and perfect for a summer dinner in the heart of the historic center of Brindisi. As an appetizer I ordered the octopus meatballs: very kind, they offered me half a portion (4 instead of 8), knowing that otherwise I would not have finished them. A gesture of attention that I greatly appreciated. The waitress was very kind and thoughtful: she showed me the catch of the day and, on her advice, I chose a scorpion fish to prepare with cherry tomatoes to season the pasta. She also asked me what shape I preferred: I chose fresh linguine. The dish was good but, honestly, it convinced me less than the rest: the fish (scorpion fish) had a very delicate flavor, almost too much for my taste, and the tomato sauce was a bit abundant and tended to cover everything. I would have expected a more classic and refined seasoning, perhaps with oil, garlic, a hint of white wine and light cherry tomatoes, in order to enhance the fish more. I also ordered a side of turnips, really excellent, served with a crouton. Unfortunately I couldn't finish them because the portions were very large. With still water and a digestive at the end of the meal, I spent 38 euros in total: a fair price, considering the quality and the service. A note aside for the staff: efficient, friendly and very fast, even if the environment can become a bit frenetic if you are sitting near the comings and goings of the tables. The only thing that didn't convince me was the background music: not annoying, but perhaps out of place for the atmosphere; I would have preferred something more relaxing or, why not, even the simple sound of the sea. Overall, I recommend La Locanda del Porto to those looking for a typical and refined experience, with genuine dishes and impeccable service, all in a truly fascinating setting. I will definitely be back to try other dishes!

This restaurant was recommended to me three different ways, and they were all spot on. The food here was absolutely exquisite, and everything we had was just delicious. Great Puglian cuisine and Great staff. Everyone was just fantastic. I highly recommend getting a reservation.
