We went yesterday for Valentine's Day. The food was very good, and the receptionist was very kind. The only downside was that they had seen a special Valentine's Day dessert on social media, but when we asked for it, the waitress told us it wasn't available. It's a shame because it looked delicious, and we were left wanting more. (They apologized, offering us two desserts and a bottle of wine.) Very professional. I recommend it!

A fine restaurant serving elaborate traditional cuisine, featuring a variety of meat and meat dishes, with a focus on pork (the pork shank is excellent), but with a wide selection. A well-stocked wine list and cellar, including some fine wines, are also available. A fantastic location nestled between the mountains and a natural lake opposite. Impeccable service, a truly wonderful place to stay.

La Locanda del Poeta is located in the greenery of the picturesque Sabine countryside on the border between Lazio, Abruzzo, and the province of Rome. This restaurant is a gem for those seeking a tranquil and elegant dining experience. The location is meticulously maintained, with an elegant and refined table setting that enhances each table. The interior decor is also meticulously crafted, showcasing items and tools once used in country life, creating a successful balance between rural heritage and style, while maintaining a relaxed and authentic atmosphere. The warm welcome from manager Filippo and attentive table service complete the picture, making every visit pleasant and unhurried. The small natural lake nearby completes the atmosphere, offering a sense of peace and the perfect setting for a Sunday lunch or a romantic dinner at sunset. I tasted some excellent dishes; I was pleasantly surprised by the "Fazzoletto di primo sale" (fresh cheese in filo pastry with apples, walnuts, and chestnut honey), which was delicious, as were the gnocchi and the meat. The vegetables are all locally grown. The prices are a little above average, but are more than justified by the high quality of the dishes. I will gladly return.
