For us, it remains our favorite place. A large counter with a wide selection of very fresh meat that you can choose on the spot and it's cooked right away. The interior is spacious and bright, while the outside is a bit cramped, but pleasant. Excellent service and very friendly, helpful staff.

The meat is amazing and at a great price! From this perspective, La Locanda del Macellaio is highly recommended. However, I must point out two major problems (which could be largely resolved with the owners' goodwill). Hygiene. The raw meat (which customers select at the counter before being assigned a table) is handled with bare hands by a person who alternates serving at the counter with every other activity. He touches people, objects, chairs, his own clothes, his own nose, and finally the meat. A whole different level of hygiene is required, and it wouldn't take much. Second problem: ventilation. The interior is not ventilated at all, and evidently the grill hood doesn't extract air properly. The result: the room was slightly foggy and had a constant smell of smoke. I reiterate the positive aspects for which, overall, I would recommend La Locanda: quality and price!

The meat is very good, the rest is fine.

A place for true carnivores... Personally, we enjoyed it (2 adults and 3 children), but one flaw kept us from fully enjoying the evening. The heat in the dining room, which despite having three air conditioners set to 18°C (64°F) with the doors and windows open, was truly unbearable, killing our appetite. A small tip: when you book, ask for a table outside. Another note for first-time visitors like us: reservations are for a table. To choose your meat, you have to wait in line; there's no table ordering.

Sublime A must-see! We stumbled upon this place by chance after seeing the prices in Ostuni's historic center. The wait was more than worth it! The best meat I've ever eaten! Excellent value for money

One of the best and most unique restaurants we've ever been to. The meat is super high quality and you order exactly as much as you need. Incredibly reasonable prices as well. Note to non Italian customers - order your side dishes right when the meat arrives so that everything can be eaten hot (if you like it that way).

Good meat, service is ridiculously slow or absent.

Craving grilled meat but not quite feeling like traveling to Cisternino or Martina Franca? Well, this is the perfect place. Their traditional dishes are spectacular (the Gorgonzola and truffle bombettes are incredible, and the various sausages are top-notch), but if you're interested, they also have several premium cuts of meat: trust their grill mastery and you'll be delighted. I recommend the potatoes as a side dish. Excellent in every way.
