Typical Piedmontese restaurant with internal walls "covered" with stones and a vaulted corridor, with a cordiality and welcome from another era, as was the service, which kindly explained to us perfectly each dish that was served to us.
We had lunch choosing the asparagus-based menu: starting with the welcome appetizers and ending with the dessert, everything was perfect, well cooked, with all the ingredients that married well together in each dish and a perfect flavor. Freshly cut bread. Since we don't eat meat, they met us by replacing the asparagus rolls with ham and cheese, offering us the alternative. The quality ingredients that are used can be perceived in every bite. Note: the asparagus in each dish had been cooked perfectly.
The ceramics used during the service are nice. I recommend everyone to try the dishes of this restaurant.

Easter Lunch. Attention to detail and kindness distinguished the lunch. In many restaurants the service of holiday lunches is not well cared for, here you feel that the owners care. The menu was not obvious and the ingredients were of quality.

We had lunch at this place because I wanted to eat asparagus. All the food was great. Even my husband who doesn't like asparagus found everything to his liking, both the tagliatelle with prawns and asparagus and the "canceletto". The breadsticks are very good.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Nel centro di Santena, paese del grande statista piemontese, sorge questa locanda non molto grande, che offre una cucina fondamentalmente piemontese, recuperando anche degli antichi sapori della zona, assai gentilmente proposti dalla titolare, che ha molta pazienza e cordialità anche nei confronti di ospiti "difficili".
