It was the only one open on Monday in the area, so we went. We had a wonderful time. After a first course (porcini tajarin), a second course (wild boar stew with polenta), and two desserts (an old-fashioned tiramisu and a deconstructed tiramisu), I didn't feel the slightest bit heavy. The bitter finish was remarkable, as was the wine, made from a rare Piedmontese grape. I'll definitely return, highly recommended; the quality of the food is exceptional!

Lunch on October 12th for our son's Confirmation. Traditional menu with a touch of innovation. Everything was excellent, and the service was attentive, even for a guest with food intolerances. Don't miss the gnocchi alla bava, the braised beef, and the brick for dessert. The homemade bread is a real treat! Thanks to Elena and all the staff.

As soon as we entered, we could hear from the kitchen that they were about to pound the Fassona beef. I immediately thought, we'd finally found the true Piedmontese inn we'd been searching for so long. For my first course, I chose Conte Cavour's rice, with a cream of peppers typical of the area and melted blue cheese sprinkled on top: it wasn't just a dish, it was a true experience. Next, we chose the fried porcini mushrooms, and what can I say: delicious! A huge thank you to the talented cooks (if I'm not mistaken, they were all women). A special thanks, especially to the one who, among all the homemade desserts, made the "old-fashioned" tiramisu; it's without mascarpone, replaced with coffee Chantilly cream. They call it the "brick." I'll try to make it at home soon, too. But I'll be back to this inn in Santena, that's for sure!

I'd already had lunch here in the fall (and I remember the truly extraordinary cabbage and sausage agnolotti), and I returned in the summer. Once again, everything was delicious, in a pleasant, welcoming setting. The amuse-bouche with plums and pancetta was simple and delicious, and the mixed antipasti (four, more or less your choice: let's say the chef chooses, but if you have strong preferences, let me know. In my case, flan, rabbit tuna, vitello tonnato, and Russian salad) were hard to choose from. The first courses were good, with the softest gnocchi and tajarin. The sweet and sour rabbit (very delicate) was fabulous. The desserts were perhaps a bit subpar: the brick was good but not memorable, and on a damned flat plate that made it hard to finish, a sort of deconstructed tiramisu with cantucci biscuits instead of ladyfingers, good but not extraordinary. The wine cellar was adequate. Tasting menu €37, appetizers €20, main courses between €12 and €15. I'd say about €45 per person, plus wine.

Here we are at the little restaurant near my house. Every time a different experience, this evening dinner outside. A carefully curated menu for a pleasant dinner, excellent wine! Highly recommended.

A very positive experience, we enjoyed an excellent dinner, the staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was very intimate. We'll definitely be back to try the à la carte menu.

What an experience! The dishes were truly exquisite and the staff were truly helpful and smiling. It was a very pleasant evening, I know Elena and she is a wonderful person. Traditional Piedmontese cuisine with a nod to the new...passion and love for what you do, excellent raw materials: it's the winning combination. We will definitely be back!

Incuriositi dalle recensioni e dalla voglia di asparagi, ci siamo fidati e ne siamo stati soddisfatti. Da segnalare agli amanti dell'ortaggio verde, tipico della zona di Santena, sono i piatti tradizionali con una materia prima di ottimo livello. Bontà da assaporare nelle diverse proposte della Locanda. Fatevi consigliare dal personale gentile e preparato. Lista dei vini adeguata al locale.

11/09/2025: Food: One of those menus/courses you have to try at least once in your life... many, also because they have marked the historical evolution of fine dining. Service: Correct... fast and precise, slightly aloof. Ambience: Unique and iconic, designed by Dante Ferretti. The service, divided into multiple acts and spaces, is highly appreciated.

Hotel Sangrila Restaurant

27/09/2025: The owners and staff are friendly and available to meet every customer need. The rooms are clean and tidy. Suitable for families and traveling workers. The restaurant... kudos to the chef for the tasty and flavorful dishes, short waits between courses 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Let's not even talk about the pizzas; they're delicious, and they're quick to serve and take out. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to eat healthy.
