Exceptional place, you can eat very well at fair prices, in a rustic, healthy and authentic atmosphere

Almost set in the rock, the place, one with the landscape, heralds welcoming but at the same time non-intrusive hospitality and speaks of genuine flavors and aromas that have now been lost elsewhere. This is why I chose to celebrate my birthday there. A family environment in which to enjoy excellent dishes, most of the time prepared with local ingredients. Recommended for those who love to rediscover the true flavor of food, for those who love walking in ancient woods after a substantial lunch, for those who, having appeased the needs of the body, also want to appease the feelings of guilt of the spirit for having exceeded in the sins of gluttony. In fact, next door stands the sanctuary of Santa Maria Assunta, a structure rebuilt several times due to earthquakes, but which preserves intact the charm of the home of a Madonna who wanted to return to her sanctuary at all costs. I suggest going on weekdays if like me you prefer quiet. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended! Excellent value for money

For three days in the area, in Atella, we ate twice at Locanda del Bosco. Is there a reason? In reality there are more than one reasons! After the first evening, exciting from the point of view of flavours, kindness, excellent quality/price ratio, we decided to return to taste the second courses for which we had not found room the first time after the abundance of starters and first courses . And we did well! The best lamb I've eaten in recent times. It will be the grilling, it will be the fine air (the inn is 1000m away) it will be the delicious potatoes in their skins that accompanied it... it was a divine dinner. If you add the excellent service, the good wine and the very honest bill, we can't wait to return to these parts to taste all the other dishes on the menu.

The place is nice, large and bright, the staff is friendly, the food is very good, but we were a bit disappointed with the desserts, as far as the price is concerned, it's within everyone's reach (you eat well and you spend the right amount) in short, it's worth a visit if you're over there

Like every other place I've visited in Basilicata, the food is great. We had appetizers and a first course with mushrooms and sausage for lunch... everything was really excellent. The service was not very fast even though there were not many people and there was no order of arrival. The atmosphere is welcoming but could do with a bit of updating

Locale accogliente e carino, per antipasto un soffritto buonissimo. La pasta è davvero fatta in casa e gli ingredienti sono ottimi (abbiamo preso i ravioli ricotta e menta e gi strascinati salsiccia e funghi cardoncelli). Il valore aggiunto è rappresentato certamente dal vino, un aglianico del vulture di propria produzione con un retrogusto di ciliegie. Ottimo davvero. Ci torneremo
