16/08/2024: Authentic dishes cooked with love.
In an increasingly cool island, which winks at VIPs or perhaps VIPs, with the sly smile of someone who knows what they're doing, there is a little place on the small pedestrian street of Santa Marina, in a beautiful building, with a refined design and trendy. Thrill... for a moment you fear the beauty that doesn't dance, the all smoke and so on. But no! Surprise and joy, finally!
You are pleased to find real flavours, the clear and clean ones, without limping fusions and shaky balancing acts.
You find the Giarratana onion, the size of a melon, all full of bread, capers and love, and you don't leave even a bit of it.
You find beautiful pasta shapes, those that make you think of "home", farfalle, splits, because only in Italy do we demonstrate in the alchemy of the dish, how it is not true that one shape is as good as another.
You can find wild fennel, which to be the main ingredient of a dish does not need to be accompanied by anyone, on the other hand it is like this: wild, it doesn't ask permission, it is self-sufficient with dignity.
Finally you find the squid and the octopus, wrapped in the sun-kissed tomatoes, the chilli pepper in the right amount and all the skill that makes a dish that could be taken for granted, something that you will remember for a long time and that, you can swear, it will put even the most hardened influencer before the mandatory need to publish the post on Instagram with his fingers dirty with sauce from his shoe, because, as we know, in the end no one can leave good things on their plate.
Very good indeed.
