I was lucky enough to discover this little place, booked by chance on Booking but truly a great discovery!
We stayed two nights, room with every type of comfort, bathroom with sauna (a panacea after a day on the snow) and then we had the pleasure of trying the restaurant, very nice, tasty and plentiful dishes...
And last but not least... an amazing welcome! We immediately felt at home

Walk in Carona and we stopped to eat in this little place which is nothing short of fabulous, a welcoming and warm environment, excellent quality food, an excellent wine list.
I recommend the veal cheek.

Abbiamo scelto questo ristorante per la prima cena dell’anno a Carona.
Appena entrati si resta colpiti dalla location e dall’arredamento tradizionale ma comunque attento al dettaglio. Il menù, seppur con poche proposte, spazia da piatti della tradizione bergamasca a piatti più particolari.
Abbiamo preso il tagliere di salumi, chisol cuore di Zola, casoncelli della tradizione e tagliolini alle bacche di sambuco e funghi porcini, il tutto accompagnato da un ottimo vino della casa.
Qualità della materia prima decisamente ottima.
Ci ritorneremo sicuramente!

Siamo stati nel ristorante “La Locanda dei Cantù” con una coppia di amici e i nostri due cani. Il personale è stato gentilissimo, è venuto incontro alle nostre esigenze e ci ha permesso di goderci un buonissimo pranzo in compagnia.

Tried it for lunch, late October. Excellent vegetable lasagna, a thousand layers and with an original garnish! Tasty and homemade tagliatelle with venison ragout! Polenta with nice deer. Fantastic and delicious decomposed meringue dessert. Ditto coffee!! Cozy, intimate and warm place. We didn't stay though. Kind and attentive waiter, see you next time.

Very welcoming environment, impeccable service, traditional food well cooked and presented with care without unnecessary frills in the plating. The suggestion of wine by the glass was also greatly appreciated, as it went well with the chosen meat dish. The tiramisu and the final coffee, properly restricted, were very good.
