I passed by Cascina Porro on my mountain bike; the refuge is located right at the end of the "Hiroshima mon amour" trail, a beautiful single track that starts from the Giustenice pass. The inn is gorgeous; I had a sandwich that was a real treat, with homemade bread, coppa, cheese, grilled vegetables, and homemade onion jam, washed down with a fantastic craft beer. The owners are kind and friendly; I took home a couple of jams (onion and pepper) and they let me try a slice of freshly baked crostata, which was also phenomenal. My only advice: offer slightly lighter beers. At the end of Hellboy (the next trail), I crawled into a bramble bush. I don't know if the 8.5° beer had anything to do with it...

I had a wonderful experience, immersed in nature, the farmhouse is perfect, the food is super top, the people are wonderful, it feels like being in a paradise on earth, thank you

Very nice place, the refuge is a bit unique. As for the food, the quality/price ratio is a bit high, in my opinion.

I stopped by one evening during a bike trip and they were very kind and welcoming. The food was excellent, and everything was homemade. I recommend it as a stopover for trekking or bike packing (Alta Via dei Monti Liguria). They have a large lawn and outdoor restrooms.

Stunning location in nature with breathtaking distant sea views. Super welcoming and helpful owners. Excellent food at very reasonable prices. Reachable by 4*4 or with a beautiful walk through the woods. Dogs welcome. Overnight stays available for a peaceful stay.

After an hour's walk on a dirt road, but a comfortable one with a gentle incline, suitable for everyone, we reached the refuge, which offers a spectacular view of the Ligurian coast (and even Corsica and the Tuscan islands, because it was a crystal-clear day!). A friendly family welcomes you and serves a fantastic lunch, hearty, home-cooked food—an experience we'll definitely repeat!

Hotel Ligure

29/06/2026: A lovely 3* hotel in Spontorno, right on the sea, the staff are very helpful, accommodating and super nice, really great breakfast, really enjoyed the stay. PS: BIG THANK to the staff that called me to come back and collect my house keys.
28/06/2026: Good morning, This is the second year we've stayed at the hotel with my mom and a friend. The location is excellent, with a shaded park in front, and close to the beach. The dining room offers a fantastic view of the sea... Breakfast and restaurant are SUBLIME!!!!!! They are TRAINING, CARING FOR PEOPLE'S WELL-BEING, DOWN TO THE SMALLEST DETAILS. THE FOOD IS SUBLIME, FISH, AND MEAT. EVEN A SIMPLE CARROT CREAM IS AMAZING. THE PASTRY CHEF IS FANTASTIC TOO. The breakfasts were superb, and we celebrated a birthday; she made a vegan cake that was AMAZING! COMPLIMENTS TO THE KITCHEN AND THE PATIENT, ATTENTIVE DISTRIBUTORS. COMPLIMENTS TO THE PEOPLE WHO DEDICATE THEM TO THE ROOMS. KIND AND HELPFUL. The owners are FANTASTIC!!!!! Highly recommended for anyone who wants to be pampered in every way. COMPLIMENTS TO EVERYONE.
