La Locanda In Cosenza

A place that can serve Neapolitan pizzas, thinner and crispier Cosenza-style pizzas, or even Roman pinsas. Too bad they forgot to ask our preferences when we ordered. I assumed the default was Neapolitan, and... you can imagine my disappointment when I saw the crispy one arrive! To my hesitant complaints, they simply replied, "What's the problem? We'll make it again!" Correct answer! And the pizza was delicious. One of the few times the crust wasn't left on the plate. I always say that pizza is judged the next day: not only is it good, but it's also easy to digest! The outdoor seating area suffers a bit due to being so close to the road.

As soon as we entered, the staff accompanied us to the table and gave us the menus. We ordered, and I must say that the food was really good!

And it's our go-to pizzeria, but tonight we came to try the meat too, high quality and perfectly cooked.

I had lunch at Locanda del Vescovo and it was a truly wonderful experience. The restaurant is welcoming and bright, with a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, ideal for a quality break in the heart of Cosenza. The lunch was impeccable: carefully prepared dishes, generous portions, and above all, fresh, select ingredients. From appetizers to dessert, everything was balanced, flavorful, and elegantly presented. The cuisine combines tradition and creativity, without ever compromising on authenticity. The service was fast and friendly: the attentive and helpful staff made us feel truly pampered. The quality-price ratio was also excellent. In short: a lunch that wasn't just a meal, but a true moment of gastronomic pleasure. Highly recommended to anyone seeking good food, courtesy, and a refined atmosphere.

We visited the inn for the first time last year on our way back from our trip to Puglia. We weren't familiar with the place, but we had such a great time that we decided to stop by again this year. I can only confirm our impressions of this place. The staff were friendly, and the food was truly well-prepared and of high quality.
